What is the code I can use so 1 particular link does NOT open a new window when all other links do?

Just don;t put 'target_blank" on that link....i'm not sure what you mean

some people set base target to open in new windows. Meaning all links open new.

Just set that one link target self

Drop what you are doing and go to barnes and noble. get the MASTERING HTML4 book.
