welcome to the world of can-spam....as legit emailers are now required to mail direct, all the old filters are going to work and the big mail servers will be blocking LOADS of requested email....
that situation eventually will lead into our wonderful court system as well.... |
Freepassbucks has had problems getting their mail through many of the major email programs from day one. They didn't adequately plan for this hence their conversions are worse than their established competitors who already have deals in place with the major email programs to make sure their mail gets through. I wanted to get behind their program from the outset and have referred 50 webmasters to their program, but no matter how many traffic tests I do, they always convert three times as bad as their competitors. About 50% of the test signups I perform never get the confirm email to me to complete the signup.

i just signed up through a yahoo account to one of their sites and i did not get the confirmation email

Over the past several months AOL has been doing an awesome job protecting their customers from horseshit, bullshit, popups, trojans, redirects etc. Especially CJ sites.
It's a JOY to use AOL nowadays. The only reason emails aren't getting through is because AOL customers have been getting spam and can click a 'report spam' button on their email options. Once numerous customers click this button that company and it's proxies are blocked. Sucks, but blame all the chiselling asswipe pornmeisters who think fucking people over is an axiom of business models. Now if you don't fit into this category, try emailing AOL and explaining your situation. It could turn things around for you. |

any large mailer will have a filter on it from the big domains. freepassbucks is not the only one.
if you ever get a bounced email from a filter like SpamAssassin then you know what not to put in the emails Its getting very tough for even the legit mailers |
Yikes that sucks, more bullshit blocking it appears.
|
Have you tried posting this on their board to get a faster reply? If true, it sucks big time, it means less money for us in the end ...
|
Email programs were having problems before these spam laws...offer you surfers a free email signup somewhere else (somewhere you know wont block the email) This will increase conversions aswell as people wont have to use their personal or business email so they will be more willing to give it up
|
I remember boss hawg posting the other day that he was having problems with yahoo and aol, so it's probably not just a freepassbucks thing.
(although you should be collecting the emails yourself :Graucho ) |
AOL blocks many legit mailings very often, even mailers that exist on their whitelist
Hotmail is problematic as well. |
sad thing with the more email blocking the more spyware shit we will see to make up money
|
yup aol has this new shit.. when a few aol members click "report spam" on the email ( even if they never even open the email just click report spam in the menu) they will block your domain from going into aol 100%.. they have blocked 4 of my paysite domains so far.. im going to have to call tomorrow.. this is the error.
