router and card?

im looking to set up a wireless network any suggestions.. thanks in advanced

Linksys router and Orinoco cards.

How is that wireless home network stuff at passing a signal through several thick concrete walls and/or floors?
And does it make a difference if there's a lot of metal in the way like a central furnace or hot water tank or kitchen appliances/plumbing etc?

cisco is very good, Apple is excellent (plus they're windows compatible :)
