NASA had an online system setup where any American citizen could inscribe your name on the DVD going to Mars. I put mine and my son's on there.

Since I doubt humans will be exploring my Mars in my lifetime at least a piece of me is already up there for all time which is a cool feeling.

The same DVD is on Opportunity as well which lands in 3 more weeks.

There's another pic of the DVD loaded on board during pre-launch (where the red arrow is).

No it was free. 3 1/2 Million people participated.

I look at it this way. If a big meteor ever hits Earth and everything gets oblitarated at least a record of myself and my son's existence are safely "backed up" on Mars now.

Yea... my names there too. I remember adding my name a long time ago.... damn. It seems like yesterday. Its also kinda cool to see how fast time flys by.

No just a quick talk bubble using CompuPic PRO. The best photo management software around. It also has some nice basic enhancement features. Its not Photoshop by any means, but it comes in handy for batch changes, fast image enhancement when I don't have time for a full Photoshop job, etc.

You can get it here:

http://www.photodex.com/products/pro/index.html

Its one of my favorite programs and I've been using it for many years.
