Biggest nightmare I EVER had right now . I got a so big headache .
 

Ok . To start I didnt slept more than 3 hours in the past 2 days because I re printed everybodys flyers / business cards or whatever was missing . I booked my GF to come to vegas with all business cards for everybody.

She was scheduled to a flight that was going to pitsburg at 6 am this morning .

So we woke up the baby and went to the airpot at 4 am just to make sure everything works out well .

We arrive there and the flight is canceled .

So they book us on another flight at 6:15 to Washington at Dollos or something like that airport . We wait in line till 6:10 and the guy tell me my pakage is TOO BIG .

I called 5 times expedia and us airway to know what was the limit size they only told me I had to pay extra. Even the lady at the front desk told me that so WTF IS WRONG WITH THEM .

Anyways so I get my parthner up at 6:15 am to bring me a 2nd pack .
Then some guys start talking about content and VISA . We learn that even tough the CND border let us go thru, if the US border think its for business we need a visa .

We had like 50 000 business cards into 2 big bags so it was OBVIOUS it was for business and we couldnt have a visa for today for sure .

So we only kept 500 cards per customer max . Rest will be shipped but we will arrange something I really dunno what to say to everybody I tried all what was in my power.


So right now my GF will arrive to Toronto in about an hour (thats the 3rd flight) . If she get thru the border she will have a limited ammount of cards for everybody for now . Im really sorry about the domage or anything that can be created by that . We will make it up some way . So if she don<t get cough without a VISA for delivery you will all have some cards . If she does get caugh Il just refound everybody cauz thats all I can do cauz UPS was fucking late as fuck .

I was crying and hitting my head the hardest I could in front of everybody at the airport ... I never did that in my whole life but thats so bad for me right now .

Yo fuck off ok ? I dont think any1 that is amateur would reprint everything and flight off to vegas because UPS couldnt deliver on time . Printing is nothing new to us . We do couple hundread thousands flyers / business cards + a weekly magasine locally . We just made the mistake to trust UPS with our shit .

Ok whatever ignore list now dont even come talk to me about anything ure just too dumb to be true . Il see you when you got 3 days to rush for a flat and wait till 3 am to receive the last design and put sheets between the cards just to cut them earlier so they dont bleed on each other and ship them 1 day before just so they can make it out for the show and UPS come 2 days late after that . How will you feal ? You would just run away and run Im trying to take care of my business right now so fuck off .

This is what happens when you over-commit, paricularly when dealing with a bunch of procrastinators. You're both at fault in my opinion.

I've been reading all about this & have withheld from saying anything, but - I don't think he's BSing. I deal with ups & fedex all the time & it's quite common for them to fuck up. They won't even do an overnight shipment to MANY locations & will not deliver to many other locations at all on Saturdays. Add to that equation the clusterfuck of the holidays & it's a recipe for disaster. Our standard turnaround time is 7 - 10 days, (that includes printing & shipping time) & people who want things done professionally & the RIGHT way don't mind waiting that long for their cards. Of course, we do offer overnight shipping options for an extra charge - but advertising a promotion like this smack dab in the middle of the holidays & a few days before the show is just asking for a nightmare. :2 cents:

Yea we do a lot of rush orders locally but we didnt know shipping compagnies sucked that bad ... I got some1 on the plane right nwo and another person driving down to MTL to get more on another plane .

The thing with my GF is fixed she is taking the plane in 2 hours to go to her hotel

as i recall, the original problem wasn't dr dre's - it was with customs letting the cards through in a slow eventual way (possibly due to higher alert). dre had sent overnight the same way before without a problem.

if what i read on other thread is right, this is not his fault at all.

just to add my :2 cents: to this situation, Dre busted out an order of plastic business cards for me at the last minute on the 29th of december and i had them in hand on the 31st before heading out to catch my flight to Vegas, and they came out truly badass (you were right about the black/gold combo, Dre, my next order will probably be all for black/gold!)... he had mine done in one day and had them sent 'Express' via UPS, and passed the tracking number on to me directly. when the delivery date came up, UPS's online tracking system suddenly changed the state to "rescheduled delivery", but they arrived on-time anyways. fuckin' UPS and their crappy online tracking system.

regardless, i really don't think Dre dropped the ball here or deserves this kind of abuse, if UPS (the largest shipper in America for business concerns) didn't do their job as promised that just lets everyone know that they suck, period.

the fact that Dre booked a last minute flight to Vegas (expensive as hell i bet) to make sure people got ahold of at least part of their order in time for the show speaks volumes of his business ethics and concern for his customers... many people would just pass the buck to UPS altogether and go to sleep.

again, Dre... the cards rocked. have a good one, and thx for all the one-on-one service for my order which wasn't even huge..!

Dre I know what its like to be smited for days at the time I wish you the best of luck. You trying to get people there cards and that is all you can do. Not many other people would send someone out just so people get something of there order. Don't let some of the people here who are keyboard warriors get ya down.

Well, I was thinking you handled the situation as best as possible.

Courrier companies have a tendancy of fucking up shipments that are super rush and super important & time sensitive. I feel for you. You did the best you can do to make a bad situation a little better. I tip my hat off to you for 1) reprinting what you could 2) trying to get someone to deliver it by hand 3) not 'leaving for the weekend' and letting people squirm while waiting for their cards. I'm sure your customers will understand. Good Luck

My GF is waiting in line at the hotel right now . 24 hours later after we left for the airport. Kinda crazy.

Bleh some of them are asking me to refound shipping ... Im paying 10 time the price it would have cost . loosing so much money over this . I just hope there wont be no fuck up from now on .
