I thought I read somewhere on here that paypal issues temporary credit card numbers to use with your account or something like but I don't see anything on their site. Is this true?

I have one

Paypal Virtual Visa. It's somewhere under profile you have to turn it on maybe. Either way, go to shop, pick a store or type a url, when paypal loads the page they'll put a visa number at the bottom of the screen you can use.

Are you saying you can only use it with the paypal shops?

No, once you have the number written down you can use it anywhere. If you are buying from a website they have a place to type in your own url also but after the first time you just write it down.

the "paypal visa" is a real credit card issued by providian that has NOTHING to do with paypal but the logo on the top. the "paypal debit card" is a debit card that you can use as a CC or as an ATM card. first one sucks. second one is cool and I've had one for 2 years. fuckers even give me cash back

you can get a paypal visa debit card its in the site somewhere just let mine expire and havent bothered renewing it check the help/faqs:winkwink:

He's talking about the virtual visa card, not an actual plastic card.

I'd go with the PayPal Debit/ATM card. It's useful if you want to withdraw money from your PayPal account via an ATM, instead of transferring thru a bank which takes a few days.

dam I can't find anything about this virtual visa on their site or anywhere else. Are you sure they offer this and not just real plastic cards?

go under withdraw, then it should say virtual visa.

I didn't realize they offered a virtual debit card. I'll have to look into that.
