I can't even remember the last time I saw snow. It was in the 70's here today. According to my thermometer, it's still 71 right now and the sun is almost down (4:30 pm cst).

Nah, I modified my own shovel over the years. I started out with one of those cheap plow shovels. The handle was way too short for me (I'm 6' 4"), so I cut the blade off of one of my old hockey sticks and then bolted the shaft onto the shovel's handle, thus extending the handle by about 2 1/2 extra feet. It's too heavy for most others that try to use it, but I love the damn thing.... and it gives me a pretty good workout on the arms just carrying it around.

But damn does it move snow.


I'm thinking of how to install a CD player on it :D

For about 5 months out of the year.... yup. There's almost enough snow to build that snow-fort I've been wanting. Once it's ready, I'm going to hide in it, and pelt the neighbor's brat kids with snowballs till they wave a white flag.
