What would you do if a Doctor told you 9 years ago that you had AIDS

BOSTON - A Fitchburg woman who received nine years of HIV treatments after she was misdiagnosed with the virus is suing the doctors and clinics who treated her.

I have 2 words for those doctors MOAB BOMB

I forgot about the MOAB, wonder if they've used it (or plan to) :)

Tala 01-03-2004 10:01 AM

Two words: Malpractice Suit.

I'd sue the hell out of those fucks. A misdiagnosis like that not only kills your sex life, the drugs could be potentially deadly as well.

Damian_Maxcash 01-03-2004 10:14 AM

A friend of mine was told he had testicular cancer. He didnt and they had removed both his testicles before they found out.

He is gay so the breeding thing is not an issue...... but still fucked up

Are you guys really saying you'd be pissed if you thought you had AIDS for 9 years then found out you really didn't? I think I'd just be releived.

Think of it this way. That's 9 years of no sex. I can barely get by without a day of sex, let alone 9 years.

... learn to resize images, tosser. that chick should be happy for beeing misdiagnosed, but all she does is sue, sue, sue ...

typical response. I know it's hard for you to believe but legitimate mistakes do happen.. In this story no where does it say the Dr's were definitely at fault. It's much more likely a laboratory error, and then even some tests throw up false positives..

Whoopdeshit. False positive or no, for 9 years the woman has had to live with "I've got AIDS". I don't give a damn who you are, that seriously has to be a detriment to your life, sexually or otherwise.

A good attorney will help, though monetary compensation doesn't return 9 years of one's life. Someone is going to have to pay for that mistake, and if her attorney is worth a damn, he'll get down to who the responsible party (parties) is/are and she'll find at least some measure of peace.

If she sues, that is...:2 cents:

no where did I say it would be easy. I'm just saying it's very easy to jump to the conclusion it's the Dr's fault, when perhaps you should be looking at the lab.
