Anyone here own a self carwash?
?
Profitable? I was talking to a local business man today who just opened up a few and he says he is doing awesome. I've been interested in this for a while but never really looked into it. |
They are real good if you are in a good location-no theives.
also high water-soap bills if you have free water would be great! |
OPEN LAUNDRYMATS!
My uncle owns 5 of em in some larger citys and no matter what you do people use em Just put a tv in there and leave it on one channel ( cnn in most locations in his chain ) and keep it protected and people will spend hours washing there cloths :P 1.50$ per load and then like 3$ to get em dry them like 2$ in soup and stuff per load you get around 100-200 people a day |

Nice business, very profitable if in a good location (major street or interesection). Runs 24/7. Nice place for upsells (vending machines, pay phones, etc.) If you're worried, put a security camera and hook it up to the internet and watch from home :thumbsup Laudremats do well, but you have to have wash and fold to compete these days. Means an employee or subcontractor. |

My friend owns one i Australia and does quite well out of it. They are not that cheap to set up though (not here anyway). 5 bays and a Lazerwash cost about 3/4 million aussie, not including land.

Invest in the US Dollar, when it starts to rise people are gonna make a killing.
|
I got a bucket and garden hose... Does that count?
|
yeah there are many cool investments you can make
car wash, laundry mat, storage facilty i have not done any of it yet...but i hope to soon *send traffic now* :1orglaugh |
I prefer a good hand wash to some automated car washes anyway, then you dont need to invest any money for machinery, just get a nice space with some hoses, some drains, a decent location and you are set. Hire a few workers and give it that personal touch, sure you will spend more for employees but I think the initial money down would be much less as opposed to using machines, and if you do quality work you'll have business no problem.

the laundry thing is only good if you or a partner has expertise fixing the machines. They break down alot.
