Talk to fellow GFY'ers in voice mode! Join the server!
 

Hi all....

I was thinking - why not have a teamspeak server running so those surfing GFY can connect and talk to each other do biz talk shit etc.

All you have to do is download the:

TS2 Client (Win) in the top right corner of the screen at teamspeak.org

Then click connection - quick connect and type in this IP and hit enter :)

You can figure out the client - how to change your screen name and adjust the audio settings etc but it is pretty simple and sweet.

ANd of course you need a microphone and speakers or headset to talk...

Anyone can download the server software and run a server - it is ultra simple. I think you can have at least up to 8 people in a room talking at phone quality.

We use this while we game :)

lol - no one into a group voice chat etc - I think it would be a great addition to chatting in the forum - get on voice - make deals etc. :thumbsup

I sound funny.

I already have this feature in GFYlite , But i dont think GFY would ever do this , as the information that would be discussed wouldnt stay around. Thats what makes forums great is the information can be looked at over and over * and the ads ;) * If you make it live the information disappears. And nobody gets the precious post count.

I still think it might be a good idea though. Like a "take it live thread" or something

as mentioned tons of times.

why would lensman want people to talk instead of posting? chat room or not...

maybe one day...

Ok I don't mean an official GFY server then... but I have my server up and running if people want to connect to it anytime.

Once the posting is done and you are like - icq me or whatever instead you can hop on voice etc...

Isn't that like the old faithful Battlecom??
We used to use it for Half Life and UT gaming and tourneys..
