Is Verotel Good?

On the one mainstream site I run, paypal froze my account for no reason and is having fun with my money...soooo... time to switch.

Anyone ever have any problems with Verotel?

reynold 01-02-2004 05:29 PM

The jury's out on this. Some say they are good. Others say they see shades of GLOBILL.

BillMePro 01-02-2004 05:30 PM

brizzad check us out and ICQ me if you have any questions

christianrod30 01-02-2004 06:14 PM

Verotel is working fine for me until now. Tomorrow never knows.

Even audited companies are crashing...what can you expect from this kind of company that you do not know anything?

CCBill, Verotel, etc. They do not show their figures. So, our only comfort is they are in business for a long time.

Unless you are processing over 40k per month, we cannot help you with a paysite from Canada. Sorry.

why does 40k a amonth change the already obvious rules about processing?

chuk 01-02-2004 08:24 PM

I'm not fond of Verotel. They suspended my account, fucked me out of my money, and won't respond to my emails asking them what the fuck is going on.

Anyone ever have any problems with Verotel?

I just joined Verotel and the set up was so so so so easy!!!
CBill ws hard for me to set up and I had to get their techy to do it for me.

Some people think Verotel will not be around becuase they don't charge the $750 Visa fee and will be shut down like Globill.
Well, I don't know because Verotel is not "Off Shore". It is a true company in another country using foreign banks which may not back Visa up on these fees.

I say go with them and start making money now!
Making some money is better than making no money.
Just keep a list of your members and if something starts looking funny then try to move everyone to a new processor.

Details????

They must have stated a reason. Did you sell illegal content, spam, too many chargebacks... what?

Without a reason your complaint sounds like you fucked up and now you blame them.

If they are processing over 40k per month, we can assist in an offshore merchant account.

That's the thing - I didn't do anything wrong (that I know of). I logged into my account to find out why I didn't get my last check, and it said the account was suspended.

There were no other details, and they won't get back to me.

iirc, this is what WSB was doing...

We set up teenfilipina.com with Verotel in late October and the growth of the site has been explosive. We have a standing membership of over 1000 already and a number of our affiliates are already hitting the $100+/day mark. I feel that Verotel has had a big part to play in this success. I've used them as a secondary on my other sites since the big Visa scare in Oct 2002 and never missed a payment.

spooky181 01-02-2004 10:17 PM

I switched from Scrubbill to Verotel last year, and ever since my sales have skyrocketed. Verotel has been absolutely the best...

psyko514 01-02-2004 10:31 PM

Verotel processes for Asian countries, correct?

And those who are presently using Verotel, what fee options are you using? The Split Charge option or the Charge Webmaster option? Has anyone tried both?

SoundMan 01-03-2004 12:05 AM

i highly recommend them for smaller sites. not sure i'd trust them for something that does a mad amount of volume though. at anyrate i've never had the slightest bit of problem with them. their wires come in like clockwork.

I use them for my program to promote www.cheatingxxxwife.com because we don't have a huge program they are fine. If you had a large program you would find it difficult to set up the hosted galleries, (I only have 30 hosted galleries) otherwise there reseller program is fine...:glugglug

I think my case might just be a misunderstanding. From what everyone else has said I think I'll continue with them once it's strightened out.

inthestars 01-03-2004 01:28 AM

Sign up with Verotel. I've used them for three years and they've never missed a payment.

The best part is the phone billing in addition to the credit card processing. See my sig and sign up, you'll be processing in less than 48 hours.

schilli 01-05-2004 10:24 PM

I use CCBill as my primary, 2000Charge as a secondary and Verotel as my third.

I use to use Verotel as my main but was suspended because chargebacks were to high. Verotel does not scrub credit card transactions enought -- especially ones from asia. My chargebacks through other processors were non existent except for Verotel.

Bottom line -- only use Verotel for phone/1-900/perminute billing and checking - do not use them to process CC.

Ya dig!?

psyko514 01-05-2004 10:25 PM

a lot of people think they're better because they don't scrub as hard.
besides, you don't pay the chargebacks fees, so you're ok if you stay under 1%

if you have access to the admin theres a live chat button, if not theres on on the front page also but is usually for surfer support...
emails you can forget about, try calling them..at least they answer the phones.

basschick 01-06-2004 09:54 AM

people talk about getting paid now, but if visa eu comes up with similar rules to visa u.s., paysites stand to lose all their rebills. maybe there's a way to look into this further.
