Did anybody watch that on ESPN on New Years Eve day? Some guy won an entry into the $10,000 buy-in by winning a $40 online poker tourney and ended up winning against the best poker players in the world. Was awesome to watch.

yeah i watcehd the whole thing a while ago, it came out like last summer or something, which probably means the next series is coming up real soon

just shows you anyone can win in poker, regardless of skill. Moneymaker should have been out first round.

I watched it long enough to see Phil Helmuth get his ass beat and loved it. I was in vegas a couple years ago during the tournament and talked to him for a few minutes. Seemed like an ass hole to me.

He may have if Moneymaker hadn't hit a miracle on the damn river. That guy had the best run of luck I've ever seen.

Not totally true he played for a long time onlie he is a good player not great but very good.

You do need some luck ( he didi get lucky on a few of those allins)

But it is not a coincidence that all these people know who phil helmuth is and even if he dosen win he gets close allot and most of the other guys were well known players as well. Best said in the movie rounders its not a coincidence why the same group of guys make those final tables year after year They are fucking good and know how to and when to pick thier spots.
