How long before you commit and send a new sponsor....

How long before you commit and send a new sponsor your good traffic and put them into your advertising plan?

Its one thing to throw a few links up on your sites but then its another thing to go all out via galleries, free sites, se pages and such......

Thoughts?

If they convert better than 1:150 for a month with my test traffic.
If they do worse then i know they are B.S. or don't do well with my marketing strategies.

my cock has its own zip code

polish_aristocrat 01-02-2004 04:14 PM

Depends how much traffic you got and how many different traffic sources
:2 cents:

Brad Xtremepay 01-02-2004 04:15 PM

Just play it by ear really. If the conversions are decent over a fair amount of traffic... go nuts.

Yeah i've always been interested in this as well.

Tons of webmaster signups, but few send right away.

Obviously no one will drop everything and begin a new project, but i'd like to know what it takes to get people to send right away.

This is a good thread.

Basically, if the sponsor has a NEW NICHE or REALLY FRESH content, I would put them on.

If not, then I would wait until I hear people's experiences with them.

If they are non-adult or non-saturated, I put them on immediately.

At least one year in my case.

Rorschach 01-02-2004 06:01 PM

I tend to focus on what site is best for what niche rather than on sponsors... so I'm testing constantly and whoever is converting best for that niche is getting the traffic. Everything is set up so the traffic can be swapped around more or less instantly.

I think its always good to try new programs even when you already have ones working for you.

Then its easy to just throw them all on a spreadsheet. Do the comps and give the ones with the best conversions the best spots and let the dogs either work their way up or work their way out.

reynold 01-02-2004 06:11 PM

One disadvantage: Lost Opportunity costs for those with limited traffic. Kinda boils down to go with devil that you know than devil you don't know.

I usually start out with them ( new adverts ) slow and wait for the first checks to arrive. Then email them and let them know how much traffic you would like to push, if they arent on the ball, they get dropped. ALWAYS go with a sponsor who NEEDS YOU not the other way around. Never let a sponsor push you around , or fool you into thinking you need them, they need you just as much as you need them, if they dont they arent worth the trouble.

have a special $70 per signup week then you will see the traffic

Meloman 01-02-2004 06:48 PM

All my personal traffic is tied up with FlyntDigital, Cashquest2, VividCash & my all time reliable Maxcash :winkwink:

My existing links will NEVER change... No amount of money offered will ever make me go back and start updating links.

On the other hand what I do instead is test people out on my various exit chains. If I see something doing well then I'll build out fresh new sites to push them. If it does well then I'll expand but I never ever go through and swap out old links.

This is actually how I started pushing VividCash since it's so new. I didn't go through and swap out old links. I just threw up some consoles here and there, saw that it converted really well and so I went through and built brand new feeder sites.
