I made a post joking around about the terrorist attacks and 10 minutes later I get a call from the FBI wanting to question me. They called me at a number no one has. Kind of scary. It looks like to me this board is being watched over by the FBI. There is no privacy these days and no were to hide. Be careful what you post.

I find it hard to believe that the FBI call up people and talk nice with them. One would think they would show up at your door and take you to some feild office and grill the fuck out of you rather than shoot you a pansy phone call, especially over any sort of comment regarding terrorism.

This was no joke. They called me on my business line, my personal line and my parents line. No one and i mean no one on GFY could get my parents number. It was not a normal call either, I do not except blocked calls on my number but they were able to get through with some weird voice that came on that said this is an emergency call and then the dude was on the line.

yeah..what was funny was at the time I was having the siding on my home redone. The sub for the job had a bunch of hispanic workers. Just as this big black car pulls up, these guys (8 of them at least) all pile into one pickup truck and haul ass outta here.

Two guys get out of the big black sedan and knock on my door. FBI.. but then I knew they were coming. I'd been forewarned by someone else in the industry.

Trust me the FBI will be knocking on your door after they have tapped your phone, bugged your house, opened your mail, followed you, anyone connected to you and all for at least 4 weeks if they even dreamt you were a friend of a relative who once met a terrorist sympathiser.

Let me explain to the simple minded how it works. These guys are goverment employees who happen to be in favour again, they have the budget and long to have more to spend, so the more work the better.

Not going to happen. I know someone who posted a sarcastic death threat to bush with dates, times and places outlined. Out of context, it looked real.

Sheriffs arrived at his workplace and interviewed him in an office. If the threat was credible, they were going to take him to the FBI.

The FBI is not going to call you, potential terrorist, and give you adequate warning to escape or destry before they can arrest you. They will send locals as a proxy.

hehe.. two hours later the sub came by. ..Asked me why I'd called INS. I told him it wasn't INS it was FBI. He looked at me about 3 ways from Sunday. Then I explained to him that his workers must of thought the big black sedan and the guys in the dark suits were INS. Still.. they weren't back at my house for two days.

Yeah there was a list by a couple of guys in Texas who if I recall were in prison or on their way at the time it was found. A handful of adult webmasters were on it. They mainly asked me if I knew certain names. Something involving getting in good with the person, home invasion, robbery, murder. Details have gone fuzzy on me because it was a few years back. The two agents were fine. One was more interested in how my site made money. Gave me his direct number if I ran across any child porn.

people with real threats dont usually blab about them until AFTER the fact.
