" bombs are bad "

BLAH BLAH BLAH, stupid fuckin anti war people, and the stupid band for airing a crap ass video like that.

If i was in charge i would drop double the bombs. u have the life you live today because people made sacrifices, i think its aweful to go against things when u r at home whining because soem unicef kid got dropped on. war is war.

i think this video is awesome!
michael moore directed this music video, and we know what he says about war :)

pamphage 01-02-2004 01:48 AM

war is bad mmmmkay

(Actually i think sotd lyrics are simplistic and trite)

flashfire 01-02-2004 01:48 AM

System rules! at least they have the balls to express their opinion on topics that matter rather than make a video about going to a club and riding around in a convertable.

i dont like them, not my kind of music, the video itself is neat in the wat its set up but i cannot stand a crowd full of "protestors" coming up with idiotic solutions.

Yeah. Although I may not agree with them, at least they aren't oblivious to what's happening in the world.

metaman, dont speak if you dont know what youre talking about

System of a down is an armenian group, and in case you know, there was the armenian Genocide in 1915 where 1.5million americans lost their lives

have you ever heard the song P.L.U.C.K? (stands for politically lying unholy cowardly killers I believe)

people who have seen this happen, or suffer the consequences of this, of course they are anti-war, and have every single right to be

If they've seen that then they are some really rockin' seniors.

Wow Bdjuf! I'm impressed you already forgot about our history!! 1,75M were massacrated they didn't loose their lives. and they were ARMENIANS not americans!

Don't follow the band at all but I think doing something a bit more pro-active than just a song would certainly speak louder than words, and at the very least lend some credibility to their lyrics and message, anyone have any info on that, if they contributed to aid organizations, etc. (and not just for tax write offs).

Danny_C 01-02-2004 09:18 AM

I agree with their message, support their right to speak it, encourage people to speak out for their beliefs (that song probably did more for the cause than monetary donations could have)... but, having said that, I agree that their lyrics are a bit simplistic and trite. Rage Against the Machine had much smarter lyrics.

But then, we're talking about rock bands, not Noam Chomsky.

Words without action are worthless and at the lesat they gain credibility. Of all celebrities I think one whose dedication to the actual cause can't be questioned is Angelina Jolie's of all people. She's donated over 3 million of her own money, and spent months abroad, I think it was one of the major reasons behind her divorce even. But in any case, thats one person whose sincerety you cant doubt about a cause.

So you think dedicating your life to fighting for your ideals doesn't speak quite as loudly as giving some money?

At least they tell the real story and not how many brainwashed Americans believe it to be from Television and other pro-government sources.

If it wasn't for the United States military going on adventures all around the world and antagonizing foreigners, America would be a much safer place.

More like targetting a certain demographic to gain a following and get rich. How selfless of them. How very courageous of them standing up to all those pro war people in europe telling them things they don't want to hear.
