How long does it take for google spammers to get removed?

I'm not talking about people that work the search engines legitimately to bump other people out, but I'm talking about the guys that use cloaking and redirecting, etc., all the things that are grounds for banning domains.

Just got owned on one of my good search terms and the guys sites (all .info and .ws domains) go straight to his affiliate code.

... 3-4 month, that's why you always get new domains every week.

MattO 12-31-2003 09:57 PM

leave my sites the fuck alone

What the fuck is a google spammer?? There is no such thing.... Google is a free search engine, anybody can submit too. How do you spam a FREE search engine? It's just free advertising.

I wish! Google should hire me to remove all the spammers. I'd do it by hand and I'd send them a nasty email while I was at it.

You obviously don't understand how they work. If there was no such thing as search engine spam then people wouldn't get their domains banned.

Maybe you should read this:

http://www.google.com/contact/spamreport.html

One example on how to get a domain banned, show google one page and show a surfer something else entirely, i.e., you show googlebot a page full of keywords, while the surfer gets redirected directly to an affiliate code.

Showing google one page, and Surfer different page, is GOOD idea, why do you want surfer to know how you make page to get in search engine, and if it works, why knock it. If you gotta problem with it, don't make them this way. Banned is a bad thing, That is a bad thing to happen. Most people do not do this. Most people show real pages. Obviously u just have problem getting in search engines, so you think everyone in search eninge is evil spammer, that should not be in search, but YOUR pages should be , why?

No, I don't have a problem getting in search engines. I don't think everyone in the search engines are evil spammers, just the ones that take up the first two pages of search results with nothing but links that go directly to their affiliate code. If I was bumped two pages back by people that made real pages I wouldn't be here bitching assfuck.

it usually takes a few months :)

sacX 12-31-2003 10:21 PM

it's a function of complaints.. if no one complains it'll stay.

They usually get reported by somebody, which speeds up the process.

The guy spamming Google with the .ws domains etc. has had his sites up there for over 4 months !!! I sent a complaint to Google back then and it was done 100% correctly as a Google Guru gave me the info on how to do this..

All the spammers sites are still there so who knows how long it takes ???.. Maybe for ever !!!!

With their IPO looming and the need to meet NASDAQ requirements, you BET they will be more vigilant in showing only "relevant" results. This would push more porn mongers into using their ad words program.
