Who's quitting smoking in 2004?

I've decided to try the 'patch' again. I've had limited success with it in the past. I just need to harness my willpower too.

I will be smoking at Internext though. :winkwink:

yeah maybe later in the year, after internext, after tonight, and after every party I go too LOL... I can quit no problem, until I go out

TheLegacy 12-31-2003 09:39 AM

a year ago I was at 3 packs a day - now Im down to 1 to 2 cigarettes. Will be smoking in vegas, but plan to quit this year - would like to get married clean by summer.

maybe I will take up crack instead to ease the withdrawals?? Just Kidding

Now I remember...
I'll be sure not to run out of smokes this trip. And if you do... just let me know. LOL

I quit in 2003 but man I still want one. Was thinking of trying those non-nicotine kind that way I can quit again when I want without a problem. Or at least in theory =)

Morgan 12-31-2003 12:50 PM

Im going to try. I quit in Feb 1999 and hadnt touched one till about 8 months ago then started back again for some dumb reason.

Like someone else mentioned... The first time I quit after smoking for 10+ years, it was basic. No craves at all. Just the desire to quit. This time im finding it more difficult to slow down.

I realized over the years that ALL people that claim "Im going to try to stop smoking" actually never stop. The more someone talk about stopping, the more I think he will never ever stop. The only people that really stop smoking are does who do not "try" ...they simply "stop" quietly....I stopped smoking a long time ago and never ever "tried" to stop. I just stopped and shut the fuck up :) All my friends "tried" several times or at least "claimed" they would but as today, still smoke....

anyway good luck man :1orglaugh
