Funny I was just talking about them drive by downloading a couple of weeks ago. Today, I followed this link from google and got a drive by download from them. It didn?t ask my permission it just downloaded.

I ran spybot and AdAware, but the most troubling part of this shit cannot be removed by those programs. Now anytime I do a search on any search engine :Google, Yahoo, MSN even some of the smaller ones. It inserts links from Findology at the top of the search results. On first glance the results look like they are from google, yahoo or whomever you happen to be using.

Provide me a remove link now or there will be consequences.

Now I wonder what Idiots are going to click the link just because of curiosity??:1orglaugh

I can?t believe there are people that would promote a sponsor that does auto downloading. It really kills your chance of getting a sign-up.

you want a program called 'hijackthis' - it is the BEST thing for removing malware from your browser - identifies everything installed and you just choose what you want to remove

I have already ran that I can?t identify the offending programs.

I am not getting it right now either, that doesn?t mean it wasn?t there before, and in fact if you do a search on my user name you will see that they have been doing this for at least a couple of weeks.

I now have all kinds of fun stuff: a new dialer, ilookup is now my home page, I have a snazzy new toolbar with links to the Paris Hilton Sex tapes and several new icons on my desktop including a Paris Hilton shortcut and even an icon to get me to sign-up for an epassporte

If you really did click on it shut down IE, and then start it back up. The only thing unusual on my system is the google toolbar with the pop-up blocker on. I can get rid of everything except that damn search engine jack.

anyway search your system for windec32.dll. it's part of the cab file that the webpage above downloads via a .js file.

did it, still nothing has changed that I can see.
i've got the google toolbar installed too.

oh, also check for ineb.dll on your system.

I think 404 has confirmed what I was saying.

I have two copies of windec32.dll on my system one is in WINDOWS\SYSTEM32 the other is in WINDOWS\LastGood\SYSTEM32. No copy of ineb.dll on my system.

rename windec32.dll to windec32.TMP, reboot, see what happens...
