Hit Bot Detector. Know a good one?
 

WHo has the best hit bot detector.
These bots are getting really sophisticated and ruining many websites.
If your traffic trades get deleted all the time it's probably because someone is hiting your links with a bot and the site that deletes you thinks the bot is yours.

I'd like to know as well (icq 106164875).

Well gee; If nobody knows of a good hit bot detector then I guess I should start using a hit bot myself.:1orglaugh

I have a C program I made that blocks all proxy servers. I also have a Perl script that checks Netstat every 5 minutes, to see if there are too many connections from the same ip address. It will then add that ip address to the firewall (IPTables).

I don't have anything fancy. If it's for traffic trading, you can have a program that sees the percentage if traffic that is proxy servers. When it gets over a certain percentage, then it notifies you or what ever you want it to do. It pretty much depends on what program your using now for traffic trading.

I'm not sure if this is really relevant to your question but I've heard the latest version of UCJ has hitbot protection built in. Unfortunately I've got an older version so I can't really say how well it works.

their is a few scripts, you'll have to look around.

If you block all proxy traffic then you are blocking all AOL traffic because it all uses proxy.

Do you have ICQ/AIM/MSN?

I found this hitbot detector, it looks like a very good script, but it takes 1% of all outgoing hits. :(
