How do you fucking retards get hundreds of spams per day?
 

Seriously, what the fuck are you doing? I don't get shit. I have exactly one fucker spamming my email right now for that Paris Hilton shit and a simple filter in outlook killed 99% of that spam immediately. I have NEVER gotten hundreds of spams a day or even a month on emails I use for personal and business stuff. I did get flooded at my webmaster@ email that was plastered on my site but that's it.

I sign up for all kinds of shit, I plaster my email on GFY without the blah at im stupid dot com shit and NOTHING. I have signed up for free magazines, casino's, sites, etc. and nothing. Why do some of you have such difficulty keeping idiots from getting your email? I mean, is your name [email protected] or something?

I bet you are the same people that get spyware hijacking their shit and want to hang people by their nuts for your fuckups.

I don't because I just....don't. I have email addresses that are 2 years old and they MIGHT have 1 lonely spam when I log into them after months of just sitting.

most people use their good email and post it to many places or they piss someone off who has it i ahd some jackass submit my email address to get spammed and well lets say he fucked up and sumitted to a place that not only asks ya to verify but it logged his ip and sent it to me and i called his isp :p to bad so sad for him i get about 10-20 spams a day between 5 email accounts not to bad on the other hand my hotmail i dont use gets spammed 100s a day but its a junk email for hat :winkwink:

yeah I get around 5 spams a day to my email addresses combined. AOL and yahoo tend to get more even though I've used them a lot less for some reason

ICQ spam is obvious, a bot goes from number to number. Emails are a bit different, there are only an unlimited number of possible emails yet the same fuckers get spammed and cry about it no matter what email they use.

Ditto on the no spam. I do nothing special to avoid it either. Makes me think anyone getting 100's of spams a day must be doing something special.

Hey silly fuck, I said I HAVE posted my email here without all the bullshit like that. It was sarcasm the 0's and shit. I've posted my email multiple times and to date one guy spamming hilton shit to my addy. 1 filter, gone.

Don't know about what anyone else does or whatnot, but I run like 40+ sites, some have been online since '98, some old pages on freehosts that can no longer be accessed etc.... many of those pages have a few of my email addresses which can be harvested. I'm quite active on both adult and non-adult webmaster boards as well as many mainstream boards. I have many many people on my personal contact email list, and god only knows if some of them have included my email address in the "CC" line when forwarding en mass. Plus I run several TGP's and accept email submissions.....


...so what I'm saying is, it's rather dumb to blame the victims of spam for getting spammed.


There are tons of reasons why some people receive more spam than others. You're right, some people are just clueless, but not all. Some are pretty busy in certain ways and tend to get targeted more. I've read posts from some here who have said they get over 1000 a day. I get about 300+ per day, but I have my rules set to route most of them into the deleted items bin.



Obviously, if you are only getting spam from one spammer, that can only mean one of two things....

1) you just aren't very popular or appealing enough to spammers

or

2) you are just better than everyone else.

I would have to agree.

It takes a while for your email to get around but after it does there is no stopping it. Been using the same email addy for 7 years now and I get around I would say 600 to 700 spams a day.

I tried cloudmark's spamnet but it sucked. It couldn't keep up with the spam coming in. It worked fairly well but just couldn't keep up.

That's because most people were newbies once and entered their e-mail address to that fucking flashing "you are a winner" banner.

Now that e-mail address is into million of databases across the universe.

You know, there is a certain search engine that when you submit a page using a web-based email addy like from hotmail etc, they have a script that automatically checks your domain, harvests an email from it, and sends you a spam. So, in spite of the fact that you used a hotmail account, that SE still finds you and spams you, not to mention they share that email account with 100's of other companies and lists.


All it takes is once.
