looking for a script that does this

hi-

hope someone can steer me in the right direction here:

i'm looking for a movie protector that will do this:

let's say i have 2 dedicated servers---one with a few paysites; call this server ONE, the other containing mostly TGP galleries (unprotected) call this server TWO.

i want to be able to provide some mpg video files that can be accessed from the inside of the protected member areas of server ONE, but hosted on server TWO.

of course, i do not want the "unprotected" movie files on server TWO to be avail to the general public.

is there a good off-the-shelf script that will do this?

or if not, can anyone recommend a coder that can write a script like this?

thanks!

yes, you can.

but it's a hassle to constantly change passwords on the #2 server, updating the new password info in the member's area on the #1 server, etc.

just looking for the easiest solution.

the basic problem is this:

the passwords have to be changed constantly because occasionally a member will post the password on a password hack site, so ideally the passwords should be autochanged maybe every few hours.

but each time you change the password you have to update the navigation bar within the member site to give the new password.

and this is cumbersome if you are working with 2 different servers.

there must be an easier way to work this out. not sure if anti-hotlink scripts can do this.

No, you can use .htaccess to allow just that domain or page to access it.

well, bignasty, if that's true, you've just taught me something.

how would you implement that, for example to ONLY allow access from a specific page within a member's directory?

is it easy to do?

(you can see i'm not a computer guy)

thanks for any advice here.
