Kmart. Look for the big flashing blue light in aisle 3.

for a reciever (thx ultra and all the other good stuff) I reccomend a Denon AVR-5803 http://www.denon.com

dunno much about screens so I'm skipping that part

oh wait, you said big screen tv lol

ok well, I would go with a big plasma tv.. Much much better picture then tvs that are rear projection (like big screen tvs and wide screen tvs)

be careful if you buy Denon stuff off ebay.. if it's not being sold by and AUTHORIZED dealer then the warranty is VOID.

Hitachi, Samsung, Sony, Panasonic (in that order)

LCD or DLP models

Sound systems are all nice when you get into 4 figs. Its a matter of personal acoustical taste.

Mirage speakers rock.

yes, mirage speakers do rock..

when I bought my Denon AVR-3802 reciever I paid $2600. Many people thought I was mental for paying that much and said I could have went to walmart and bought a theatre in a box for way cheaper. I then told them "I want quality, not garbage. you bring your theatre in a box to my place and we'll see how it does against my setup" I wanted to get the AVR5802 but it was like $6000 and unfortunately I didn't have that kind of cash at the time but that will be my next purchase when i have the cash
