Pretty soon the only hosting companies left will be the ones who host on your network.

Can you buy them out as well?

some_idiot 12-29-2003 08:49 PM

1. Pump the GFY regs for info.

2. Fail to apply the info.

3. Revert to drunken webmaster style and run my empire from my Blackberry at the corner pub as usual.

Good luck to all in the new year!

{fusion} 12-29-2003 08:51 PM

yeah im planned for 2004, going to try and move away from sponsors more and do my own things.

gornyhuy 12-29-2003 08:53 PM

I have a rough plan that is broken into 3 or 4 detailed components, but it has never gotten anymore detailed or formalized than hand written notes in a notebook.

On the other hand, I've reinvested almost EVERY dollar I've made this year preparing for the execution of that plan, so I have high hopes.

Theo 12-29-2003 08:56 PM

less time working and money

business plans are over rated

BradShaw 12-29-2003 10:44 PM

My plan is to make $, with fewer headaches.

tha_timinator 12-29-2003 11:00 PM

business plans and timelines are GOOD

BUT

if you force yourself to meet deadlines, your overall life might not get better... coz deadlines = stress (most of the time :))

thereby; you gotta be a tough one to force yourself a deadline, work hard to meet it, then due to lack of time work around the clock for two weeks in order to really completely meet that deadline... while you could have just as well moved that deadline a little forward, nobody's actually waiting for your work to finish (most of the time)

in brief; gotta be a tough one to force yourself to ruïn your life for a period of time...

Paul Markham 12-30-2003 01:29 AM

You have to plan, by the month year and more.

This year we will move into the new studio extension, buy more equipment, take on another assistant in the studio, another in the office to correct images.

We also hope to be offering two more professional photographers work in a short time.

We will go into full time production of content and be doing at around two days a week custom and two days for ourselves. We will also be letting out the studio with models for travelling crews who want to shoot in Czech.

We will be launching out new designed content sites with some new and better features. Will also be launching a site for video content.

The Plug In Lease Gallery should be up and running in a couple of months, we put it on the back burner due to pressure of work,it's now moved up.

The only problems will arise with staff, one shooter is out having a baby and we are not sure when she will reurn. Another is trying to get pregnant and Eva and I want another one. So we need to recruit some good people and there is the problem.

Yes I have a plan for 2004, but I'm not sure it will work :1orglaugh

Head 12-30-2003 10:08 AM

Good idea! Every success book i read has mentioned a plan of some sort!

TheLegacy 12-30-2003 10:12 AM

same as I do everyday - try and take over the world.

my plan is simply to continue listening to webmasters on what they want for content, then get it - keep pricing reasonable, make friends in the process and be careful not to get screwed by those who call me their friend

Zappu 12-30-2003 10:18 AM

Just double the sales and hit the 2M? border :Graucho

Right on , did you ever read Think and Grow Rich, by Napoleon Hill ? Used to be my bible years ago:2 cents:

Za Ha 12-30-2003 01:01 PM

No plan for me. Just try out some new stuff and continue doing what I do best. I think most ppl have that except the bigger companies that actually have a biz plan.

Herb Kornfield 12-30-2003 01:47 PM

You have to have a plan in business, otherwise, its a hobby.

I have a full plan for 2004 that is broken into months / weeks / days depending on the tasks that are set up.

MS Project is the way to go. You can track it all

loverboy 12-30-2003 01:49 PM
