Never going back!

So far only pictures of my girlfriend, but I have higher plans for this baby.

Went with the low-end to begin, Canon 300D Digital Rebel.. But man. This beats the hell out of my old coolpix 5700!

I was looking at that model also. So you like it way better than the Nik 5700?

Definately. The interchangable lenses are nice.. it's even nicer having a friend with 7 different lenses that fit it... I'm looking forward to buying my new flash for the chaning together of multiple flashes.. the only thing I'd wish is that it did more than 2.5 fps in action mode.. but it's still a lot better than the normal autofocus digital cameras.. taking pictures in RAW mode at 6.3megapixels is really nice too. they convert down to PNG very very well, and I want to do some poster art, so 6 megapixel is very nice for that.

Post some pics when you get a chance. I was reading the 300D has even sharper pics than its big brother the Canon EOS 10D.

Post some rebel samples before i go out and by the canon eos10d!

Yah, the good thing is, when you upgrade, you won't have to buy new lenses or accessories.

Looked at the 300D - Its huge. Really can't tell about a camera until you've used it awhile.

Nikon is bringing out the D70 to go against the 300D.

I can't believe that quality is from a $999 camera. That looks as good if not better than the high end $2K to $3K Nikons and Canons.

We also just got the Rebel and love it so far. It was a choice between the 10D or the 300D. We compared them and discovered that they are basically the same camera. The 300D is just more user friendly. Plus, the 10D is alledgedly being discontinued. That sealed the deal. Never going back to Nikon again :thumbsup
