i wanna spam kazaa
 

my bud is in a rap group and just got signed for his first full release including a single. The single is fucking nice shit too!!!

anyhow he told me they didnt get much of a sign bonus, but got a 6 figure marketting contract and they own all masters.

He asked me if i can put an edited version of his single into kazaa, which includes a spammed intro in the song.

What do i need (if anything) from him saying its ok for me to do this for him? Or should i not get involved and just tell him how to do it?

The old method of spamming kazaa by inserting scripts in WMV files no longer work... :(

I am not sure of the legality but if the Group and the record company agree on this as a promotion method then you should be cool.

Just remember you will have to put some keywords so people will find it and you will have to keep Kazaa open with file sharing enabled. Getting all their friends to do the same should get some results eventually :)

Use kazaa lite as it has less spyware/ads :thumbsup

1. Give it a good acurate description.
2. Make sure you run as a "super node".
3. Get as many people as you can to also share the file.
(paypal em a buck to host it for the month)
4. Make sure those machines have a bandwidth rating of 500+.

Kazaa works on a real time spider search, so you've got to
get that file in as many diverse machines as possible if you
want it to be seen past your closest NAP.

and it can be VERY successful if you have their URL in mp3
credits.
