whats your definition of rich and wealthy? when do you achieve the status of rich or wealth? just wanting to know how different people determine the differences between the two and when they are one or the other.

my definitions: rich - having your wealth work for you. for example most pro ball players are wealthy but not rich because they are usually spending up the wealth on things that arent assets.

wealthy - making a lot more than your peers and have the ability to become rich through investments

my definition is:

when i dont have to so much as think about cable/phone/internet/car/rent/insurance/student loan bills.

I have gas sometimes that smells very rich...

I am not nearly as wealthy as I'd like to be..

Wealthy = not having to care about money.
Rich = having so much money it would take real effort to spend it all.

when have enough money to buy what I want but still dont have to worry about having enough left over to pay the bills.

Having great friends ,a loving girlfriend and plenty of cold beer.

wealth/rich as in currency not bonds/relationships/love/etc

if its money, my def would be ppl who can make more than they spend and not go into debt.

the best definition of wealth i have heard is that it is measured in time. it is the time that you could maintain your current lifestyle if you quit working right now, so just relying on your assets to live off. I think its a pretty good definition

When you can retire for life, and have enough money to live a decent lifestyle that suits you for the rest of your life. At that point you would be wealthy. and rich if that lifestyle is a damm good one.
