Ozzy out of intensive care
Tuesday, December 23, 2003 Posted: 1:28 PM EST (1828 GMT) LONDON, England (CNN) -- Ozzy Osbourne has been moved out of intensive care as he recovers from injuries he suffered in an accident two weeks ago. The singer is expected to take around six months to recover from quad bike crash injuries he suffered at his mansion in Buckinghamshire, southern England. He underwent emergency surgery after breaking eight ribs and a collarbone and cracking a vertebra in his neck when the 600lb bike landed on top of him. The former Black Sabbath star, who scored his first UK number one single last week with daughter Kelly, had to be put on a ventilator following the accident. His spokesman said Tuesday he had been moved from a hospital in Berkshire, to a private clinic. A statement issued on behalf of his family said: "The Osbourne family are very happy that Ozzy has been allowed out of the Intensive Care Unit for Christmas and would like to thank everyone for their kind support, well wishes and prayers. "They would also like to thank all the staff at Wexham Park Hospital for the outstanding care and treatment that Ozzy has received since his arrival." At least a good news!Go Ozzy :thumbsup |
