New Orleans Cops - a warning Oklahoma fans
 

To all you Sooner fans coming down to New Orleans don't fuck with the cops. They will do the following:

1. Beat your ass
2. Take all your money
3. Throw you in the hole for a few hours.

Went on a party with some friends lastnight. 2 of them got into a disagreement(argument not quite a fight) so the cops arrested all 4 people involved. Beat all their asses, took all their money, didn't read them their rights at any point and threw them in the pen till this evening.

I guess they don't belive in the US Constitution in New Orleans? Sounds like a Constitutional Rights lawsuit under Sec. 1983 to me.

i've got a group of friends who want to sell our tickets together as a group(sooners fans section). i'm not trying to get thrown in jail for scalping my ticket especially in LA wearing a damn Sooners t-shirt. i have a feeling our tickets will be sold since they are trying to sale 4 tickets extremely cheap(1000 bucks for all 4). i can still walk around LA drunk right?

Agreed, stupid kids come in there thinking the cops will be cool because the town is so crazy, half end up in jail the other half end up in the hospital.

I think your case loses some meritts on the fact you were fucken DRUNK.

You dont have to read somebody their rights unless you are going to question them, that is only in the movie.. remember as the days go on patience gets really thin in the quarter !

I was born and raised in NO. I have beein the the French Quarter millions of times, partying, drunk, having fun. I have NEVER had a problem with cops - EVER.

Infact I am amazed at the patience of the NOPD. During Mardi Gras it is a mad house, the cops work 18 hour days, and have to deal with a lot of drunk morons.

Most NO cops are lazy, and beleive in the theory Live and let Live. So don't start any trouble - fights, being a smart ass, etc... and you can drink and have fun all you want.

Remember it is the nails that are standing up that get pounded down by the hammer. So come down, and have fun, act like and adult and thigns will be fine.

Start a fight.... well things will be different.

Yeah you won't have a problem. I just like to demonize the NOPD because they really beat the piss out of people when they do arrest them. As you can see by the thread that argument doesn't hold up to well. You'll have more trouble with drunk LSU fans.

LSU fans are going to have some fun in town... and if they win.. I am only glad I will be in Vegas : )

Define "beat"? If a cop laid a hand on me that wasn't justified I would make sure it made me (and my lawyer) rich men!

damn nap i'm almost jealous that you will be in the big easy for the big game. Get lots of good pics and post them for all of us Sooners to see. In return i'll take lots of pics of Vegas and me arriving Sooner style in my Sugar Bowl T shirt and red warm up pants much to the dismay of some hard core Sooner haters.. :Graucho

I hope you're on some reality show or something and there are cameras following you around 24/7.
