letting those filthy Canadians move next door to the 'south' of America!!! Their President Tim Horton decided it was the only thing to do. No where else to move to in the world since Australia kicked out a boat full of Canadians back out to sea. Canadians where the convicts of Australia. Dammit!!!

Not because of the stuff he calls his "politics" cos he exceeds all trivia talk about politics. More to do with the critter's total ineptitude, lies, hypocracy and it's fraudulent conduct. I can't see that the US has *every* had a less democratic government that it has now - with an Admin that is not transparent, but cloaks itself in "secrecy", passes laws and discards other treaties which were the basis of the US Constitution and the work of many Presidents over the years. This "Admin" have removed pretty much all rights it's citizens were granted, have zero capability on any fiscal matters and have lied to it's own citizens under a favorite guise of stuff like a "war on terror" (tho "admirable that may be on the surface!). It is an "Admin" that has, in effect, reduced the US to the status of a rogue regime which it not trusted by other nations. So.. "it's" Bush.. and I got little doubts he will pay well for this damage at some point. A bullet in the head is appropriate since this would also save many more lives and rid the US of scum. |

that is what set the stage for us becoming the world's largest charity fund and police force... |
Personally I would say the whole premise this country was formed on was killed staring with the Civil War. I certainly don't agree with many of the South's policies of the time but when we changed the whole power structure by exerting federal rights over state's rights by not allowing the states to secede; it was the first brick in a wall that has been the erosion of the Constitution. Every year another right goes bye bye and the sleeping people don't even realize it.
Most people have no idea what this government can do to you that would fly in the face of what you thought your rights where. |
Should have kept Cuba rather then turning it over.... could have be the 51st state.

No idea, but I'm gonna be interested to see what develops out of this Iraq thing. Not the war itself, but the chasm that opened up between US and (most of) Europe. On the surface, politicians of all countries have been trying to play it down since then, but you only have to see the US banning French, German etc. from Iraqi contracts recently to realise that a lot of people got really pissed off, on both sides. This is totally unpredictable. It might be forgotten. It might push Europe closer to an expanded EU including Russia. It might mean mainland Europe eventually becoming federal with a Euro army. No one knows what the long term result of this will be and we *could* be looking back in twenty years time saying this was the beginning of the end of 'such and such' and not realize it now :)

I agree with the voting rights. Our forefathers didnt want women and blacks to vote for a reason. Women are too bleeding heart, its in their motherly instinct, and minorities have become a voting pawn in this country.
-- I would have let the south seceed and left them alone. Or made a compromise with them giving the blacks a choice. 1. go up north 2. free transport back to africa 3. remain in the south. The brutal bloodshed of the civil war should have never happend. Eventually slavery wouldnt be needed that much as technology grew |

Gee, no one mentioned when the feds overturned the 'usury' laws back in the early 70s which then allowed the banks and cc companies to charge ridiculous interest rates?

Never wiping out Mexico and claiming the rest of that land through the Panama Canal. We also should have taken more of a claim in Japan after dropping the bomb.

Becoming the world's charity and big brother. We have enough trouble taking care of our own, but somehow we have to take care of everyone else. :(
