Alot of these car services that offer airport service add the tip to the cost but does the driver get that money or is it best to personally slip the driver the tip?

Check with the individual company. When I tip anywhere I ask if it goes in the guy/girls pocket or if the company takes a cut.

I tip service industry personnel individually.
