Google and your phone number
If you have already heard, Google indexes phone numbers. If you happen to have one of your numbers on a page that is not in a protected area google will index it.
If you have a regular job, and for some reason someone at that job foes a google search on your phone number the pages that it is on will also be listed... This could cause you a problem! |
interesting......got any links?

Actually I first saw it in the local paper about a woman who claims that a stalker used google to get her address with her phone number...
I have serious doubts about that woman, but I tired mine and was not happy with the results. so it in this format 000-000-0000 It will give links to map quest and yahoo maps as well it it is indexed... |

Thanks for that link. Although I am not sure that will completely do it.. It is indexing these numbers from web pages as well..
For instance. If you have a contact page and a phone number on it, it will be indexed.. If someone that you know has that same number, but does not know that you work in this industry, it could come up if they were to search it.. That link is for their phone book I think... |

Its like people using their emails on beast sites or some other crap, then do a search on that email and you will be shocked where it shows up.
|
Yeah we removed that numbers. We dont have any worries, as we work only for ourselves... But I know that some people work for mainstream companies and they could loose the job if their involvment in the adult indistry coma out...
It's so VOODOO!!! :1orglaugh |
omg
i am so worried :helpme blah blah what a bullshit you know that everything will get indexed unless you protect you from that |
Thank you man, it sounds totally new to me
|
i think the map to your house is the worst part
|
They've been doing this forever.. it's not that they index numbers, they index EVERYTHING.. medial records, police records, credit cards numbers.. whatever comes.
|
Hey trax, just keep this in mind..
Just because you are paranoid, does not mean that they are not out to get you.. I was talking with a buddy of mine that works as a consultant for the FBI and INS and he told me that when they start an investigation, the first thing they do is go to the net. It's free and does not cost the governmnet anything. So as long as you work in an industry that the government is totally against, then this is something that you should keep in mind.. A lot of people had just never thought of the fact that this happens... But I am sure that you are one that did, and have taken all the steps necessary to keep it from happening to you.. :thumbsup to you then |
www.whitepages.com has been around forever, i dont see anyone bitching about it..
you can lookup by either phone or name or address.. a lot more flexible than google |

No one is bitching about anything...
The point of the thread is that the phone number can tie you DIRECTLY to you PORN sites if you happen to have your number listed anywhere. For customer service or anything like that... |

You or your so called "buddy" are total bullshit, in 1999 EDS Upgraded the NCIC database system, automatically when they enter a name it also queries major engines. Both the FBI and INS and other govt. agencies rely on the famous NCIC database. Next case |
it's true, google called me to verify my number :glugglug
|
When you run a search on NCIC ( national crim information computer ) You are looking for history of a person. When they use the net to search they are looking for the latest location and use of credit cards etc...
They also check backweb. If you dont know what that is it is tracking that most coputers have installed at the factory. It is used for research.. Hahah.. Oh, but I am sure that since you know everything that you hand built all the components of your computer and you dont have this installed... |
And the last I heard, NCIC was not connected to the net, because they did not want to risk a hack.
