Almost got into a fight at 7-11 on Christmas

Jesus there was a total obnoxious idiot in line at the 7-11 when I stopped for some coffee with my son on the way back from a christmas get together.

The delivery guy accidently bumped into this idiot as he was bringing in the donut trays and the guy started yelling fuck you to the delivery guy. The delivery guy said he said I'm sorry and the idiot yelled out fuck you again like a real jerk. Then the delivery guy yelled fuck you back.

Neither one knew there was a Palm Beach County Sheriff getting coffee who heard the whole incident. So he walks over and tells them both to shut up. The delivery guy complied and walked out of the store. The idiot starts giving the cop attitude and tells the cop right to his face "Kiss my ass, I can say fuck you if I want to".

You had to see the look on the cops face. He wanted to deck this guy so bad and got inches from his face and said "what did you just say?. The idiot only inches from the cop says it again "Kiss my ass, and you can't do anything about it."

That's when I stepped in and said, bullshit there's a little boy here and your acting disorderly right now. Then the guy starts saying "your kids a little brat I saw him running around the store".

Luckily the 7-11 clerk told the guy to leave the store at that point and the guy said I don't have to leave til I want to leave. That's when the cop grabbed the idiot and tossed him out the door.

Then the jerk is outside the door making faces at everyone and we all started cracking up laughing. What a fucking loser.

The cop said to me all you have to do is say you want to file a disorderly conduct charge and I can arrest him. And I was tempted to do it when the jerk started saying shit about my son, but I didn't want to sit there for an hour filling out paperwork and then have to go to court and all that bullshit.

I've just never seen someone challenge a cop so directly and only inches from his face he's telling the copy to kiss his ass.

Most cops would have gone to town at that point and I thought it was going to go down and had my cell phone flipped open just in case I needed to do a 911 Officer Needs Help call.

Interesting story. This idiot was lucky it was Christmas and the cop stayed calm.

I really thought when he told the cop to kiss his ass a 2nd time it was going to escalate into a major brawl and wouldn't be an easy arrest. The sheriff had his hand near his gun too and probably was hoping the guy took a swing at him.

I cal Bullshit on this one!!!! cause anybody that knows ....understands that YOU do not file anything or can you ever crimanly, they make the arest if they feel it is warranted, then it is up to the DA to press charges not YOU, all you are is a witness, even if you are the victim.... your only option would be not to testify!!! you have no decision in wether or not any charges get filed!!!! that is how the legal system works, the rest is just TV bullshit..... it makes for a good story though

Well, you are still wrong. I don't know the exact terminoligy but my best friend is a cop. There are times when he decides not to arrest someone but another person involved can file charges against them. Then that person instead of the cop has to go to court, etc. Maybe it's just different from state to state but it does happen here.

wrong!! they can NOT file anything other than a complaint with the District attorney.....it is then up to the DA to pursue, or drop the case.....nothing cna be filed by just any person!!!! other than a complaint

You could scream till you turn blue in the face, and if the DA says no case, then there is NO case...... and just the opposite is true also, if the DA says that he /her is filing charges, it does not matter if the victim wants to drop charges or any of that....it is SOLELY based on the DA discrection, or HE/SHE can have a grand jury convien to bring charges if he/she wants to....but not an individual

It's differnet by state. For example, in the State of Ohio, a citizen can file charges individually for certain offenses. Persistent Disorderly Conduct for example would fit this casr. The man initiating the drama was disorderly in the first place. Had the Officer been alone, he would have had to warn the offender to not do something again or risk arrest (for ex. say the word "fuck"). If the man had "persisted", done deal, lock hom up. If howoever there was one or more witnesses, noy including the police officer (for ex. KRL, his son, the clerk, etc.), no warning would be necssary. Whoever wanted to file the charges would sign the citation (in Ohio, it would be a misdemeanor). This could be the Officer in the case of a persistent subject, or the witnesses. If the witness signs the citation, the officer does not have to. Another example of this is in Domestic Violence cases. States are adopring this more and more to keep the biased opinions of some Police Officers out of the rational for service/arrest. If (and again, each state is different, this would be in Ohio) KRL had decided to file the complaint, he would have signed the citation and would become a State's Witness. The Officer would also be in court, but in the role of a cooborating witness, not the one who filed the complaint.

The delivery guy complied and walked out of the store. The idiot starts giving the cop attitude and tells the cop right to his face "Kiss my ass, I can say fuck you if I want to".

You had to see the look on the cops face. He wanted to deck this guy so bad and got inches from his face and said "what did you just say?. The idiot only inches from the cop says it again "Kiss my ass, and you can't do anything about it."

That's when I stepped in and said, bullshit there's a little boy here and your acting disorderly right now. Then the guy starts saying "your kids a little brat I saw him running around the store".

Luckily the 7-11 clerk told the guy to leave the store at that point and the guy said I don't have to leave til I want to leave. That's when the cop grabbed the idiot and tossed him out the door.

Then the jerk is outside the door making faces at everyone and we all started cracking up laughing. What a fucking loser.

Pussy of a cop out here that dude would have got his ass kicked by he cop and had a resisting arrest charge on him the next day.

wtf is it with crazy people and gas stations... this fucking crazy cab driver almost hit me when i was walking in.. and he comes in.. there was a bit of a line and he starts literally yelling, complaining about how more registers need to be opened, etc etc etc.. he eventually was told to leave cause he threatened to kick all of the employee's asses.

i'm still shocked that the guy wasn't beaten to a pulp. where i'm from if you decide to you want to try a cop you WILL get your teeth knocked down your throat. getting in a cops face is unheard of down here. our cops will beat the living shit out of you, call for back up and beat the shit out of you some more. then your going to jail for disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.

Everyone in line and the Sheriff was so stunned by the boldness of this dickhead, no one could believe it I guess.

Cops are so careful now about things cause one lawsuit and their record gets fucked up. The cop in this case knew this guy would be nothing but a problem for him too and I'm sure was thinking this guy will just make stuff up to get me into legal trouble.

Had there been a couple cops there it would have been different I bet.

When he tossed the guy out of the store he was yelling I want your badge number and the cop told him to get lost and didn't give it to him.
