Does anyone here find that their apple G5 is noisy?

My Xaser III Super tower is, but it's windows, but I also have 8 fans in my system!

Noisy is the least of the problem .Wait until the smoke comes out of the chips :glugglug

a case with more fans is supposed to be more quiet.. each fan can run on a lower speed and dont make much noise, and you can also slow down your cpu fan, when the case is cooled well... u might wanna reconsider your setup

And you're better off having larger fans running at lower rpms than a whole bunch of small fans running at higher (noisier) rpms... having huge fuck off heat sinks also helps a lot.

A friend of mine mentioned this one particular heat sink to me. I can't remember the name, but he claims they can handle an AMD Athlon XP without so much as a cpu fan. And we all know how hot those fuckers run. I'll have to find out the name fo the heatsink from him, 'cause if it's true, i want one. My computer has been running so hot lately. The australian summer is not helping.

My dual processor G5 us quieter than my laptop. G5s rock.

My G5 blows a little fan on startup but other than that, nothing.
