Over eight years ago some of my friends were convicted of Murder and got sentenced to life in prison .. Usually around the holidays season I reflect back on how crazy life has been for me ..

... be sure you take some time this holiday season to get away from the computer & do something you may not do enough of ..

Put aside all the bullshit & just give thanks to your freedom and the ability to walk on the beach, take a long drive, or whatever the fuck it is you enjoy .. slow down & enjoy life.

Got a few friends in the pen myself :) All completely innocent of course.

I still have warrants in california for not showing up at a murder trial, that i was a witness to.

I used to love Christmas & the holiday season,
But I look at my life now & can't see much reason;
To enjoy that special time, I so much love,
My only Christmas wish now is that Someone watches from above;
No more decorated trees or wonderful smells,
Only screams & yells echoing through prison cells;
Gone with the exchanging of gifts & merriment galore,
I stare at the walls & cold hard floor;
No more visions of Santa & his reindeer,
Just a time of chaos, sadness & fear;
I think of this season, how much I'm missing,
All the Christmas carols & mistletoe kissing;
So now I find it hard, to celebrate this day,
While I sit in my cell, I try to find a way;
To cheer myself up & get out of this hole,
All my time in prison is taking it's toll;
I call out for help amidst this violence,
but you can't hear me, my scream is my silence;

Knowing the ones I hold close are my only hope;

I am actually going with my grandpa and family to visit my great aunt on Christmas in her convalescent home.
He dresses up as Santa Claus every year, they get kick out of him.

well at least he doesn't have to hunt around for people to pay him money to waer their t-shirts

I'm tired of all this crap with "good guys" and "bad guys". Or what about "Three strikes and you're out" even when it's for stealing a slice of pizza - whereas the sharks in the money world can get away with stealing millions from people.

What about the person they murdered? Had they not done that, they wouldn't be sitting inside now - They got what they deserved.

justice system is corrupt as hell and its all about the money and ego.

this story reminds me of the "west memphis three" where three teenagers were convicted of killing these three little boys where is was evident that the psycho step father did it ...the tennessee police department did not want to look like asses so they kept the boys , tampered with the evidence...two got life,one got the death sentance..sucks

They're fighting for an appeal .. takes time & money

His website is very detailed .. if you read it, you'll learn how 5 teens went to the house of a local drug dealer to buy some weed. When they got there, a fist fight broke out between the drug dealer and friend and the 4 teens. A 5th teen was also there waiting in the car. When the fight was over, one of the dealers was stabbed in the heart. The kid who stabbed him, Jason, pled guilty but all 5 were convicted of murder. This was around the time when the O.J. case made the district attorney look bad .. so they came down hard on the teens. Also, the kid who was killed was the son of an L.A.P.D officer. Take some time to read into the website, you'll be amazed...

if he and his friends caused the death of another human being and he wouldn't be doing life if he hadn't he's not worth worrying about - let's worry about the mother, father, sister, brother, child of whoever your white trash friends killed.

sometimes the legal system fails but it's not that common - what is this guy's complaint - gimme the Cliff's Notes version please.

Youre forgetting one thing.

Law sometimes states that if you are part of a crime and it escalates to a felony or murder, despite youre actions, since you are involved everyone is charged.

sad but it DOES happen, this is not an isolated incident.

I forget the actual law name or whatever but it exists, i remember a case involving a girlfriend robbing a bank with her boyfriend.

her boyfriend got a little crazy and shot some of them, guess what? she went down with him for murder.

Not sure what states practice it but it is on the books somewhere...

It's called the Felony Murder rule. Yes it's sad and yes it's not an isolated incident. However, the circumstance for this case is the the murderer pleaded to take the blame. He WANTED to be sentenced for the murder .. however, his younger brother and 3 friends got sucked into the bullshit. Yeah a teen died .. but is 4 lives worth 1? Going to jail can be worse than dying.

First, I must say that is a very harsh sentence for your friend. Very sad, especially since he is so young.

Some guy my mom was friends with when I was a kid, robbed a bank with a few friends. It was really weird, because he was the nicest guy you could ever meet. Anyway, the cops came, he freaked, shot and killed a cop. He got the chair. As nice as he was, and as sad as it was that he got caught up in all that.....he deserved every watt of electricity that went through his body. We all know there is a risk in being ANY kind of criminal.

Whos to say they didnt go therejust to kill the guy and take his dope? It happens everyday. So should the driver of the car not be held responsible for murder? Even though he just drove?

Listen, Im not saying its right or wrong, but you HAVE to look at it from the eyes of what is going on.

If some guy drove a killer to my apt to rape and kill my girlfriend, id want the driver to go down too, wouldnt you?

No one really knows what went on in that place excet those involved.

It escalated to murder and the party involved will be held responsible for the death.

I am no lawyer or cop, but thats how it works.

My advice is, dont drive your friends to score drugs from some guy you might end up killing.

Fact is: that drive resulted in the death of someone, regardless, and the state holds the party involved responsible, its been that way for years.

There is a timeline in every crime, if the timeline of events is not broken, the party will be held responsible for whatever goes on during that timeline.

Lets say your friend drove everyone home and two of them went back and killed them, he wouldnt be in trouble, but the fact is the timeline of crimes involved your friend and he got wrapped up in some bad shit. it happens everyday.

There's more to it bro but it's not the point of this thread .. so whatever the fuck ever. My advice is, enjoy life.

Ive been to more drug deals than some have gone to church, and not one of them ever escalated to murder.

Especially teen drug deals...

The teen who was killed was named Jimmy. His friend Mike was also involved in all of this. The 4 teens, Jason & brother, Brandon, and Tony went there to meet with Jimmy. Jason's brother had beef with Mike so when they saw each other they quickly got into a fight. So, Jason, Brandon, Tony, and Chris (driver) were all thrown into the mix. Jimmy backed up his friend Mike and Jason jumped in cuz it was his little brother getting teamed up on. Tony didn't even enter into the fort and Brandon pretty much got pushed out of the way. During the fight, Jason pulled out a pocket knife and stabbed Jimmy and Mike. Later while in the car, Jason tells the other teens that he thinks he stabbed Jimmy and Mike.

So, say you and I go to a bar and someone starts a fight with me. You're there in the middle trying to break it up and the guy who starts the fight has friends who jump in. All of a sudden we're in a brawl fight and I break a bottle over the dude's head. He dies. I then say "it's my fault, punish me" .. but you get thrown into prison for life too .. umm yeah, that's the law .. is it fair? Aren't laws overturned?

No. The message is: There's no justice in USA.

You can do like O. J. - kill and get away with it - if you have the money for good lawyers. Poor people, on the other hand, get life for stealing pizza.

As I said above, I am not saying its right or wrong, but there ARE reasons for laws, and yes they do get overturned, unfortunately this one has not so we must live by it for now.

You say your friends went somewhere, KNOWING they had enemies there.

Not a bright idea, but if your friend wouldnt have pulled a knife things would have been different. Maybe more cuts and bruises and punching, but a fight is a fight... toe to toe. Outnumbered or not, who hasnt been outnumbered?

Again, it sucks but thats the law.

And your example is bad because i HAVE gone to jail because a friend broke a bottle on someone, I also have been put in jail for trying to stop a fight and the cop saying I was involved in it.

I didnt do more than an overnight but I have went to jail for it, also the guy didnt end up dead as it seems he did in your friends crime.

Sounds like a bunch of highschool crap but it DID result in the death of someone, if youre old enough to go to drug deals you should at least be able to fight.... your friend pulled a knife.

If this was self defense it may be different, but a knife was pulled and ended up inside someones heart, the rest were scrapping but someone pulled a knife,... not good.

Also, you say 4 of your friends were there, and only 2 other guys? So a one on one turned into 4 against 2? One of the 4 with a knife?

OJ isnt the only person that gets away with murder, just like that one guy isnt the only one that steals pizza.

The justice system here is like anywhere else, sometimes the courts win, sometimes the criminals win.

But most likely, if you arent a fuckin criminal, you probably wont be getting in trouble for anything.
