New GFY Rule and Opportunity.
 

Effective right now, any discussion of selling sigs is off-limits and terms for closing an account. We have no issue if you do sell yours for a flat fee, hell, I even buy sigs. But, pay-per-post is unhealthy, encourages worthless posts just to get a sig in, and strongly discouraged. And anyone who is paid per post will be held to a higher standard regarding post quality that the rest of us.

Again, we have no issues if you do sell your sig, but we will not allow public discussions of such, with one exception.

Introducing the One-Day GFY Sig Sale. On the 27th of every month, we will open a special forum for GFY members to buy and sell their sigs. At the end of the day, that forum will be closed. You can offer to buy sigs, offer to sell your sig, comment on the abuse of capitalism, or just watch for fun. Anyone offering to sell his or her sig must have been registred on GFY for at least 3 months first, or their accounts will be closed. The forum will be on the main menu, just like all the others. The first one will be on Dec 27, and covers sigs for the month of January.

We are looking for input an ideas on this.

Good idea. One thing tho. You think you should maybe keep that forum open for an extra day? Gives people from different time zones some lee way to see whats going on without them rushing around.

Just a thought. Maybe keep it open for 27th and 28th of the month then close it.

You are an idiot but nobody believes you are stupid enough to put a sig in for referrals without your referral code. The only other possible explanation is you are selling your sig like the rest of the useless posters here.

Here is an idea:
Build a complaint system, which can only be used by long timers. Ban people with above certain # of complaints against them.
This should get rid of people making useless posts. And its a democratic way of doing it.

It's all good. I know my limits with Lensman.

He got upset with me for bumping old threads an alias so he banned the alias. It was deserved. Life goes on.
