Sorry to break it to you but you will die soon...shame just before Christmas :(

NBDesign 12-18-2003 08:59 PM

Could be several things... I know what you are talking about.. I have had that before... but it went away after a few days... guess I had the flu or something... maybe bronchitis... that was what mine was.

Katlicious72 12-18-2003 08:59 PM

go to the doctor.

hm. you over or under 40 ?

Gemini 12-18-2003 09:03 PM

Could be bronchitis or even pleurisy... probably should see a doctor. It could even be your Dad for lighting up those foul smelling cigars. ;-)P

sumphatpimp 12-18-2003 09:05 PM

if your lung looks like this don't worry

It's the muscles around your lungs. See your Dr. and g et an x-ray. Should still lay off the ceegars. I like them to; but now i have 1 or 2 a year

Holly 12-18-2003 09:06 PM

Maybe pleurisy. Since you smoked, you should see the doc, though.

Maybe I'm being paranoid.

Mr Pheer 12-18-2003 09:14 PM

you're never to young for cancer

My dad found out he had cancer because he had a little pain while breathing

if it lasts more than a couple of days go get checked out

Ic3m4nZ 12-18-2003 09:17 PM

Stop smoking and hit the gym.
I don't drink , I don't smoke and I'm at the gym 12-15 hours a week and I've never been sick all my entire life.

i bet its nothing. how long were you smoking cigarettes before you quit? your lung is probably just trying to heal itself that's why it aches.

however, you really should go to the doctor just to be safe. or at least ask about it on some medical newsgroups instead of gfy :-)

steve_grogan 12-18-2003 09:23 PM

grind up advil and inhale it.

Yea I should have used google first but If I start searching for shit on google I'm gonna start thinking I Have every disease I read about. I'm hoping it could be healing becasue when I smoked (never more than 8-10 a day) i never had any pain or coughing. ITs seems odd that now that I don't smoke I suddenly get an ache in my chest.

AHAHAHAHHA Don't be a grogan!

cluck 12-18-2003 09:24 PM

It could very well be a muscle near your lung. Just like you get knots in any other muscle you can get them there. I had one the other week. Whenever I'd breathe in deep it'd be a sharp pain. Eventially I poked around and felt the actual knot. It wasn't a bad one they just hurt alot around there. Massaging it a little helps and it shouldn't last more than 2-3 days(unless you keep stressing it).

Yeah the cancer spread from his lung, to his lymph nodes, then to his brain. It was very fast growing and there wasnt much they could do for him in 1977.

Needless to say, after watching my dad die from smoking when I was 7 years old, I've never had the urge to smoke anything.

almighty 12-18-2003 10:11 PM

Dr. Nick 12-18-2003 11:30 PM

From the symptoms you desribe I am fairly sure you have an acute form of clamydia.

Have you been fucking any dirty chicks??

Honeyslut 12-19-2003 12:06 AM

asthma will make your lungs hurt when you breath

mrthumbs 12-19-2003 12:15 AM

dude.. i smoke at least 2 packs a day for the last 7 years
and since a year or so i have a spot on my lungs that hurts
like shit.. got me worried and a bit stressed.. so i simply
started smoking more and more to kill the fear of an awaiting
death and im ok now!!

mrthumbs 12-19-2003 12:17 AM

actually.. shit starts hitting the fan when you actually STOP smoking.

A friend smokes for 40+ years and has all kind of lung and heart
issues now: the doctors actually tell him QUITING could be fatal
so he smokes on and stays alive.

Nicotine is your best friend and itll only stab you in the back
the day you say goodbye.

kenny 12-19-2003 12:20 AM

winter time chest cold

EZRhino 12-19-2003 01:26 AM

You're looking for answers in the wrong place. Go see your doctor.
