According to the mormons it was April 6th
According to me it should be at least once a month. Get a nice day off... |

There is no actual time range! The Johova's witnesses don't celebrate it, because they believe it was in the spring! It's weird and I don't care, cuz there was no Jesus that lived and there is no god, religions for the weak minded! :winkwink:

Most Christian religions had thought it was more like in Jan. However, the 25th worked well because it is so close to the winter solstice. Thusly, it was good for convincing pagens who were lunar oriented to follow the christian belief. Hence the christmas tree as well... a pagen symbol at the time. Of course, this is all from a H.S. history class... So who know how true or false any of it is.

Jdog you ever roll down Michelson and Culver Friday nights around sundown? LOL

No Jesus was actually born early in the year, not late. The actual date is not known, but what is known is the time frame........speculations run, with informed astronomical opinion, anywheres from very late Jan. to March.

I think the funniest thing about Christians in this country is how little they actually know about their own faith (this has nothing to do with you GonePhishing). Did you know Jesus had 4 brothers, and up to 2 sisters? It's hard to tell if he really had 2 sisters or just one, because the bible never mentions their names.... they are women afterall, so their names aren't important. |

You know that game where you make a circle of about 20 people and one person whispers to the person next to them and by the time it comes around full circle its not quite exactly the original words. Take that times 2,000 years and millions of people.
I seriously doubt the Bible is precise in most respects. It was written by man and man is notoriously creative when it comes to telling stories. |
Jesus was born on January 30, 1983... according to his GFY profile.

Lol, I like I said... When I was in H.S. there were several conflicting thoughts on the matter. Though, as a Catholic I did not know what you were saying to be true. I guess the Catholic Church didn't mention it... To think all those Sundays at CCD and not accurate info... I do agree with you that christians really do not know a lot about their own faith. I wonder if that was because the people teaching us about our faith didn't know much about it either. Above all of that... I am a pathetic excuse of a Catholic anyways. |
Sorry, I messed up and hyperlinked instead of quoting

Yuu can accept as fact whether or not He was the Son of God if you wish, but denying the existance of JC would be like denying the existence of Herod, or Caesar, or Cleopatra, or George Washington. However, I think there is enough fact out there to say no, he was not born 12/25. In fact, BC and AD are supposed to signify when He was born, but I believe in reality he was born 3 BC (a little early) or 3 AD (a lot late). |
No, he wasn't born ANYWHERE near Dec 25th.
Here's a nice in-depth explaination with historical information. http://www.revelationwebsite.co.uk/i...nta/origin.htm |
Im really sorry to say this but someone here has to tell you the truth.
Jesus is a made up character by a book called the bible. It contains alot of other made up stories. |

There's actually NO reliable physical evidence that the literary figure Jesus actually existed as a real human. Many many thousands of people have tried to establish some, but so far there is nothing to confirm the physical exsistence of a person named Yeshuah (which was translated into the greek as Jesus).
That's why the "discovery" of the so-called James Box recently was such a big news item. The first set of investigators have pronouced it a fake, but untill their work is confirmed nobody can be certain. If confirmed it would be the first potential evidence of his existence. Personally I think it's a fake. Go look it up. You don't have to study much of the science about this before this point is made clear. |
Who cares? We get presents!!! :thumbsup
|
It probably moved around a bit.
|
Nope he was born most likely in the spring.
