simple question...

what's the difference between 'requests' and 'pages' in my stats?

sickkittens 12-18-2003 12:30 PM

anyone?

requests doesn't necessarily mean successfull requests.

a 'hit' (i guess a request for you) is a line in the log file of your webserver, a person downloading a file, a page, an image etc.. a page view on the other hand is just the views of web pages, which is why hits/requests are far greater than the page view counter
