What is the turn around time on their episodes? Has to be fast for them to be doing a 'we got Saddam' episode tonight..

Yep, that's pretty weak.

:winkwink:

Good episode tonight, but nothing like last week's.

Last week was not the funniest episode ever, but one of my favorite stories of all time.

I think it is probably more funny to Americans. I am really amazed that Canada hasn't protested the show to our government!

I saw a VH1 special that said they use computers so advanced that they can do complex 3d graphics, etc, but they only use them for their simple stuff. That allows them to do a whole episode in a few days.

SlutFinder 12-17-2003 11:43 PM

im brittish and most of my friends find it funny and do get the specific american humour still but i just dont find the swearing/violence etc funny! got fuck all against it and see why other people like it! but me... nope sorry

Red Dwarf is some funny, funny shit! On the flip side, most Americans just can't get around the cheezy props in British TV. How many hair dryers can they use for ray guns in the Doctor Who series??

ah yeh but thats 70's and dr who is a pile of crap anyhow

They said on a Behind the Scenes show that I caught once that they can do a show in 3 days time. That would be right on with this weeks Saddam capture.

There are a lot of hardcore Sci-Fi fans out there that would disagree with you, but I can see how one would not like it. Red Dwarf is no better on the props and effects though.. Don't BBC shows make money from advertising?

they had to change it like yesterday before it aired. lol. i LOVE that show. they satire is always right on and it never fails to make me laugh. :thumbsup

i like that show

hottoddy 12-18-2003 12:54 AM

5 days to complete a regular show is what I heard, but they can add stuff just a few days from airing.

I remember they also had a show done about the Florida voting controversy within a week.

With all that power and economy, it's kinda sad they only make about 15 shows per calender year (broken into 2 "seasons") right now. They have only made a little more than 50 SP episodes since 1997. Surprising.

actually they've made over 100 episodes. and i'm glad they only make a few. i would rather have 14 - 18 quality episodes a year as opposed to 50 shitty ones.
