Catholic?
question for Catholics...
Does the Catholic church not allow a non-Catholic to become a Godfather of a Catholic baby? |

I'm an atheist and a godfather - she was actual Episcopal.
Catholics are real strict though. At my brothers wedding, they would'nt let me do communion (not that I would have) but the priest said tha I couldn't before the ceremony. Hypocrites. So I'm wondering what they will do about me being a godfather. When I think of godfather I just think of someone who will be there for the child in the event anything were to happen to the parents. |
yes

yes..

I think it depends on the priest. I'm Catholic and two of my kids have a godparent who isn't Catholic - that was OK as long as the other godparent is Catholic
|
I was raised a catholic but I've learned it has many flaws... everything comes down to Christianity so that's what I am.
You can be it though, np |
I'm catholic, but only because that is what my family is. I couldn't tell you about he godfather bit. I guess I'm not a good Catholic.
