Does owning a domain give you the right to lie?
The domain will likely go down in value in a short about of time. And owning a domain gives you no right to lie.

Domain sellers routinely lie through their teeth, but I'm sure you'll understand why - in the light of recent events! - I think the domain is worth a great deal more...:-) Dave At 15:50 2003-12-17, you wrote: David, I?ll do 300 a month for 12 months for a total of 3600 dollars. If you can put up 1000 dollars now, then I guess 6 x 300 dollar and then 1 x 200 dollar monthly installments until the rest is settled would be OK Dave At 02:49 2003-12-15, you wrote: Would you take 3000 dollars if it was 300 dollars a month for 10 months? This is odd, he negotiated from $1000 to $3600 and then decides to not bother? Seems like he just wasted both your time, if he wasn't interested in selling it to begin with, just say it.

Don't know that this should be made a porn site but thats just me. |
no he did lie and he was smug about it. tho you are right Rick never offered him what he wanted - but he smugly admits that he was playing Rick along.
Domain squatter types are asswipes and it's very frustrating trying to deal with them - i have offered a few of them money that was far more than what a domain is worth and will ever be worth but they seem to be in some dream world thinking someday some billionaire or big corporation is going to desperately need their nothing special domain. |

I would guess that if Rick had promptly accepted any of the seller's offers, the deal could have been closed. Maybe still could, but it's not like the seller said "this offer is good indefinitely." |
I'm calling the drama police.:warning

The domains isnīt worth much.
Its worth something now but if a site is developed now in 3 months its to late everyone would have forgotten about tikrit |
It's not a huge deal because it was kind of small time. I'm just pissed that he handled it that way. I'm way to busy to get jerked around.

Location domains are worth a lot. Some more than others of course. Hell, Iraq.com is worth 6 digits. |

The seller contacted me and apologized and all is well.
