CIA...Good Guys or Bad Guys?
 

Yes, that mysterious group that's supposed to save us from the clutches of evil, the CIA, is in the news again. What I wanna know is given it's history, is the CIA the good guys or the bad guys?

Oh, you mean the group of people that risks their lives every single day so that our biggest worry is if our supersize drink was filled up to the top, instead of worrying if we'll survive another day.

Mmm.. the track record is damned evil. For a "freedom loving" and "democratic" country to be involved in overthrowing democractically elected governments, using third parties to commit genecide and torture using the CIA, and the CIA being directly involved and watching on while this is happening - na, that gives that country as a whole, no credibility.

Every country needs an intelligence service - the CIA is at the bottom of that league.

they are simply the Central Intelligence Agency.
they are there to gather information revallant to this country.
the are indeed our protectors, they are the front line of defense against forgein and interal strife. they then implement information available to them to disarm potential threats.

thu at times there methods are some what questionable, still they are looking out for us :)

the National Security Agency is to insure national security.
the CIA is to develope intelligence about EVERYTHING at all times. this is why they are picked on the most. the national security has the more specific function of determining and stifling security threats.

so let me ask you, would u want to live in a country where they are not present ? ? ? ?
