Cordless keyboard and mouse. Good or Bad?

Do they work as good as corded ones from your experience? I have heard of in the past when they first came out, keystrokes were sometimes lost or the mouse movements in games like Quake were not as fast.

Any opinions are welcome, good or bad :)

Thanks

While we're on the subject...has anyone seen a cordless natural keyboard?

chemicaleyes 12-17-2003 07:50 AM

Just don't buy cheap shit & it all works perfectly.. :glugglug

Daymare 12-17-2003 07:51 AM

any recommendations of a keyboard mouse set, or individual pieces that work well in your experience? IE: not cheap ones :)

eskimoen 12-17-2003 07:52 AM

My cordless logitech keyboard and mouse works great. Never had a problem with it.

Their new diNovo keyboard looks awesome.

how often? and what kind do they take... I forgot about that requirement. LOL

Get the Logitech MX Duo or just the MX700 mouse...it has rechargable batteries and a cradle to recharge the mouse....

A full recharge takes about 6-8 hours and the batteries last 4-7 days..

eskimoen 12-17-2003 07:55 AM

Just buy some rechargeable NiMH batts...

i've got a cordless optical mouse that recharges in a holster but if you are working for long hours without a break the batteries go flat.

fusionx 12-17-2003 07:56 AM

Do you play first person shooter games? The cordless stuff has a little latency that can suck.

They're great for regular work or slower action games... definately buy quality like Logitech or sumthin...

I bought a cordless Microsoft keyboard/optical mouse set for around $50 to use with my laptop when I'm at my desk. I've been using it for at least a month now, works like a dream and I haven't had to replace the batteries yet.

Nice design, pity they don't do a natural keyboard version.

Can't stand the older style keyboards, terrible for touch typers :(

got 2 of the Logitech DiNovo keyboard & (bluetooth) w/ rechargeable mice coming tomorrow...

to match my new dell 20" widescreen LCD's. They will compliment eachother nicely.

I have been a fan of cordless mouses, but I hated my wireless keyboard. I think the only reason anyone should have a wireless keyboard is if they use their TV as a monitor.

MrJackMeHoff 03-18-2005 11:12 PM

Is this question real? Didnt everyone make the switch like 5 years ago?

PokerCams 03-18-2005 11:14 PM

bluetooth mac keyboard is great - the 1 button mouse sucks - but the microsoft bluetooth mouse is also great!

Spunky 03-18-2005 11:26 PM

Haven't replaced any batteries on the keyboard for over a year..the mouse about once every 2 months...screw the cables

arnette 03-18-2005 11:32 PM

i love my new kb and mouse, i can sit back in my chair and type, and i can move the mouse from left to right hand more easily too

webcrawler 03-18-2005 11:36 PM

Good enough! :thumbsup

SmokeyTheBear 03-18-2005 11:39 PM

I have a couple of the logitech ones and they run awesome , never miss a stroke.

The only odd thing is , the first one i bought the batteries last forever , on the newer one i bought they only last 1/3 the time, and they both do the exact same thing ?

Either way its a MUST HAVE item , especially if you have a laptop or do gaming.

Vegas 03-18-2005 11:49 PM

Can't stand mine... the mouse never seem to work right... maybe I just need to get some new one?
