Need a program to help a friend long distance
 

I got a buddy whos computer illiterate and is 150 miles from me. Anyone know of a program were I can control his computer from my house and fix his shit? Doesnt windows have a built in function or something. Any input would be appreciated:glugglug

- norton ghost ( you must buy it but it´s professional)

- dameware nt ultilites. ( free)

I thought there were more programs like this?

I was looking for something the same that I can see the person pc like it was on my pc it's self.

does that gotomypc program work worth a shit? anyone. He can download it then i can control what needs to be done from my house

With these Progs you can see your friends desktop like it is yours.

i would say dameware is the best. but it´s dameware mini remote control not nt utilities.

Just load up net "meeting" and start a new session
have him call your ip address
after that tell him to hit ctrl + s, then select desktop, then hit the share button
it will then give you access to his computer
it will bring up a screen shot and you click around and control his mouse
