people who post crap on boards and get paid for it.

The word is made up by people who didnt get paid for their sig.

There are a few annoying people who live of gfy and only post smilies but besides them there nothing wrong with selling your sig.

I made a similar post like yours asking what the problem with a paid sig since everybody has, the only difference is i get paid for it. And ofcourse non of the haters replied because they couldnt argue with me.
