Honeyslut

Here is a picture I found that my ex mother-in-law had taken off of the patio and is the view from my living room window. That area is currently under water...from the creek that is next to my place...as well as from the river that runs beyond the trees. I will get around to taking some pics of my own one of these days.

I found a couple of pictures of the same view with it covered in snow (which surprised me...getting snow this close to the coast)..but the pictures are to dark to post.

I am within the city limits. I love where I am located. When I left the Army I moved into the L.A. area and spent about 11 years there. During those years I really didn't mind the big city...but when PF died and I moved up north to care for his wife (the one I call mother and love like a mother) I quickly developed a love for the rural and would never move back to a big city ever again. I now cannot understand why I spent so many years living there.

I did some Xmas shopping a few days ago...and just got them sent off yesterday. I wonder if they will arrive by Xmas? About $150 to send by UPS. I paid $3.50 per card board box just to package the shit up. Since when did they start charging $3.50 for a .50 cardboard box?

I hear ya.

We took out a first on a house we owned free and clear and closed my established book/card/gift store after 5 years to move to the hills.

I don't regret having a house payment now to live here. It is one of the top ten towns in America to raise children.

Well...I don't have children...but if I did this area may not be such a good place...because of the rain. It has rained every day that I have been up here...not necessarily all day...but still yet every day. Kids like to get outside alot.
