The reviews for this thing are pouring in............
looks like a masterpiece........can it be better than the 1st one? http://apnews.myway.com/article/20031215/D7VF42F80.html |
I hav my ticket for tomorrow night at 12:01AM can't wait!
|
I still haven't watched the first two :(
|
Man Darkbob.........do yourself a favor and watch 'em.........especially the extended editions......
And I have been hearing, from some hard-ass critics too, that the 3rd one may be the best of the lot. |
I bought the extended version dvd's, but just haven't been in the mood to watch them yet
|
Dayum... look at the reviews...

Peter Jackson interview.......
he's redoing the remake of "King Kong" and is interested in doing "The Hobbit" :thumbsup http://www.cnn.com/2003/SHOWBIZ/Movi....ap/index.html |
its nice when a trilogy comes along where each movie is better then the previous.
|
I've been saying this for awhile........this is our generation's "Godfather"(although the 3rd one sucked as we know)
These movies are that good and the trilogy is that special. Yes, I too have tickets for tomorrow midnite to sit among our middle earth brethren. :glugglug |

Etended versions? Jesus!! How much longer could they make those movies? I better drink a couple RedBulls before seeing the 3rd movie |
the extended versions rock and make the movies flow more as far as i am concerned
|
I am so there!!!!

I'd love to see Peter Jackson take on the 'Wheel of Time' Series.
|
Heh, I already have my ticket Fandango'd
|
We got our tickets Fandango'd too...but our opening day is Wednesday....:(
|
I'm so pumped for this movie. The source material is great, one of the greatest books ever written. Jackson, et al have obviously poured heart and soul into every detail of the cinematic versions.
On a related note, anyone know where I can get some Hobbit Content? |
for a warmup for 3, a few days ago we saw the extended version of 1 at the cinerama dome on a BIG screen, and two days later we saw the extended version of 2. we're all set now!
i thought the extended version of 1 (which i had not previously seen) really added warmth to the movie and some logic to why frodo who he is. nice job :) |
I haven't seen 1 or 2 yet, no point in seeing 3.
|
I love how oscar winners are movies you've never heard of. :)
|
Wow, that's some stunning reviews, I can't wait. I"ve been waiting for this most of my life. I stumbled onto The Hobbit when I was 10 and really got into it, thinking that was that. Then imagine my joy when I was browsing in a bookstore at 14 and I find a whole section on Tolkien with this new story, not one but THREE books!
OMG, I ran home to scrounge up the $3.95 and ran back to the store and I think I reached Rivendell that same night :) |
Time to rock n roll baby!!!!!!!
Less than 24 hours away........ The reviews keep pouring in for this..........some real hard ass critics are saying this in one of the best movies they have ever seen! Wow. Expectations are sky high now and I hope this movie meets them. |
Just got back from LOTR 3: Return of the King.........
this movie is a stunning masterpiece....... the last 40 minutes are breathtaking in their power & scope. We can all take something to learn from this movie. If you liked the first two, this one will just pull at your emotions like mad. And you will love it. Jackson has pulled off something extraordinary and very special. I loved the first two Godfathers..........and because Godfather 3 was mediocre, this has to rank as the best trilogy...........EVER. Go see it. |
Peter Jackson's a Genius. I thought the quality would fuck up after the first movie like George Lucas, but nope... still good all the way to the end.
|
Yeah........it is soooooooo worth the wait! It feels good to see one of the best movies ever made.
This trilogy makes history; I feel fortunate to have seen them, especially this last one. How often does one go to a movie, and walk out knowing you have seen a film-making masterpiece? Wish I would have seen Shawshank in the theatre....... This one HAS to be seen in the theatre. I know we are building it up folks, but I read many reviews stating this was a masterpiece before going in and seeing in.......so my expectations were sky high.........but I wasn't disappointed in the least. This movie delivers big time!!!! |
Not just me saying it.........
check out these reviews........i've never seen a movie reviewed this positively almost right across the board ever: http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/TheL...13/reviews.php :thumbsup :thumbsup |
Looks like millions agree :)

Too long, the ending could have came a little quicker.
Good movie but sat in the cinema too long and it made me angry and not like it as much. |
