I've often pondered about this before. I mean, we eat cow, what if in Korea they think that is wrong. I mean different cultures eat different stuff and there is nothing wrong with it. There is nothing different from eating dog to eating cow, to eating fish. It's meat and it tatse different, but there is not reason to stop one culture from eating what it wants!

Good points, Jdog. To take an extreme but REAL example, some Taoist subsects believe that eating ginger, garlic, or even onions is bad.... so its all cultural.

I don't think we actually "determine" it. However I think anyone can complain about it no harm in that.

Like someone pointed out, it's all fine and dandy if it's going on in your neck of the woods, but if it happens to get caught on news footage during the olympics *kinda like it did with seoul* and it hurts your tourism...then that's price you pay for people voting with their $'s.

well in my house i determine it and i'm pretty damned determined not to eat dog

doesn't everything taste like chicken? supposedly lizard tastes like chicken if not overcooked.

Steve 12-16-2003 03:48 PM

Lizard is greasier, fattier meat. I'll stick with chicken.
