Acacia --- File a complaint on Monday!

Because the US patent office gave them a patent that should
have never been issued in the first place I say everyone call
and make a personal complaint about it because they are
abusing the legal system and extorting money from webmasters
and schools.
Call them toll free 1-800-786-9199
If you are not in the US call 1-703-308-4357

If the hundreds of webmasters that read this all call on Monday
and literally jam their phones with complaints about this and It
"might" get them to have a look at what is going on and choose
to have another look at it and pitch it in the trash where belongs.

Also call ABC news and tell them about what is going on. If they
get hundreds of calla they might do a story about it. I wonder how well Acacia will do in the court of public opinion?

ABC, Inc.
500 S. Buena Vista Street
Burbank, CA 91521-4551
Phone number: (818) 460-7477

Call them both on Monday!!!

big-trouble.

Keep Bumping this to the top.

This is very true. Unless it's mentioned that they are going after colleges and universities!

But Sex sells and exposure is needed....... so do emphasize about adult industry, then also include about universities....

and of course, don't forget to point them to www.FightThePatent.com

Hello ABC, my name is *insert name here*.

I like Porn and it turns out that a publically traded company by the name of Acacia Research (ACTG) also likes porn.

I have an idea for a story for you that I think should be called 'Partners in Porn'.

It's a titilating story about sex, technology, and patents... where one of the most visible porn companies, Hustler, licensed their patent that has claims over the downloading of audio/video from the web.

There are 11 porn companies going to court to disprove the patent claims and are fighting to keep Acacia from being partners in porn.

Acacia's licensing is based on GROSS revenue.. so the better that a porn licensee does, the more money Acacia will make...that's how they have been come a minority partner in the porn biz.

If you want to learn more about this "dirty little secret", you can contact IMPAI.org or FightThePatent.com

I had a further thought about this...not that I'm into this, but it might be worth twisting to add emphasis to the argument.

They're also making money from kiddy porn - I'm sure there's sites of this genre that has streaming media. I'm sure Acacia wouldn't want their name associated with that.
