The truth about content blowouts
 

Oversaturation? I doubt it. There are so many surfers out there that if you make your galleries and tours unique you can present the same old content over and over again and still make money.

Cheap content is cheap becuase sales are slow. Webmasters get the impression that becuase it is cheap it is being sold exponentially more times but that is not the case.

The fact is that the content is cheap becuase it is not selling that fast in the first place becuase of the slow down in this biz. This really is a great time to take advantage of all the blowouts going on.

You can get tons of content at a affordable price and in reality the number of sales that content providers are getting are no more than when the prices were 700% higher.

I am not saying that for example, the 240 video sets you can aget at http://www.************* for just $1299.00 or the 14 sets you can get at http://www.fillercontent.com are the most unique best content in the entire world.

I am saying these blowout deals are what they are. They are great quality content and lots of it at a very reasonable fair prices. Any webmaster that has a pay site can benefit greatly by filling up their members area with these blowout content sets and building galleries with this content.

I suggest that if you have not scoooped up these content blowouts yet that you do so soon. I believe that as sales continue to tank, even with these low low prices, it will leave content providers with only one optoin. To raise prices again.

Think about it. Let's say that you are a content provider and your expenses are $10,000 a month. You are selling your content at rock bottom prices and just barely meetting your expenses. You have only one option before going out of business. To raise your prices and hope for the best. I am talking about reselling content here not excusive one time sale content. l

And this just might work becuase there is also less competiton today. I also suspect that after the new year you will see exclusive content get more expensive too since the misconception webmasters have about content that is affordable will create a premium on exclusive content prices.

Obviously sales are slow. Why else would content providers be doing blowouts all the time?

Every month there is a new banner and new posts...

Blow out this blow out that.....but notice, the banners never last for a long time... wonder why???

If sales where great, they would not be blowin out. It is pure simple economics.

Case and point the Skan dude. I don't think it is a bad thing. It is evolution. The market is bigger than any one of them and they must react as needed.

The thing is that next year, probably 1st quater or half, prices will go up as providers realize that it is the last straw. Time to get out and if you have not made a plan you will be working a day job.

At this point they will just say fuck it. I can't make a living selling cheap, I will just sell high again. All the newbies getting in on the biz will hear about the good ol days when content was dirt cheap. Everything will be back to normal.

Whether you like the guy or not, content guys are blowing their shit out cheap because there's so much competition and sales are slow for them all. You may not like it or agree with it but that's the truth. If you feel like your shit is worth more then price it at more and don't sweat all the blowouts and you should still be fine if you have value and quality. But don't hate on someone for undercutting prices, there are too many other valid reasons to hate.

Well said digipimp. The haters will always hate. Those that can't compete will always cheat but in the end honesty and truth have the most longevity.

Those who know Erik know that he does good aggressive business and has been doing it for years. Those that have to compete with him don't like him very much.

The site is working slowly since it's a real niche but it's going to come around in the new year with some stuff no one knows about yet. But don't drag me into supporting what Erik does because I'm not advocating him, I'm simply agreeing with the opinions about cheap content and slow sales. I would only want unique content on a reality type site only.

The rest is all crap and filler and you hope the surfer stays around 3 out of 10 times!

Content blow outs are great for generic content but for SWEET microniche content categories, the conversion is well worth the extra price

Also... it totally depends where you get your blowout content from.

Of course and I think it is best to stick with content providers that have been around for a long time and give out the model docs to webmasters if they want them for free.

As for blowouts, can't see the need, we're shooting custom and exclusive every day and have to rock and roll to keep up with orders. It's all about customer service, going the extra mile, and producing quality/unique content.

That is exactly what was said. The misconception that webmasters have about these blowouts being sold hundreds of times will make exclusive content even more expensive. It is good for exclusive content providers but not so good for the resellers. Anyhow for the new year I am sure the dust will settle and things will return back to normal. Well almost normal.
